Bah grey weather. nr 1 reason for no creativity
sounds like opportunities to me
the weather is what you make of it really
too hot, was in the sun for an hour yesterday and got burnt speaking of which I'm shooting in Croatia in a few weeks for 8 days, anyone got any tips for travelling with loads of camera gear and general gear/photo tips when abroad? Trying to make sure I've got enough gear with me to carry on shooting if some of it gets stolen or damaged which is likely as I'm doing boat parties and beach parties and stuff so there's sand and sea water everywhere which is really good for camera gear i've heard
Think about taking a fully mechanical SLR. Nobody is going to try stealing your cheap ass minolta
which is likely as I'm doing boat parties and beach parties and stuff so there's sand and sea water everywhere which is really good for camera gear i've heard
strap up and stay sober?
electrical tape up nikon/canon logos tbh [editline]4th July 2014[/editline] and yeah straps are good if you're going to be shooting street events, but you probably already know that

Sea spray damage is not covered under most all manufacturers warranties as it is considered negligent use of equipment
Is your equipment insured? Sea spray damage is not covered under most all manufacturers warranties as it is considered negligent use of equipment
It's insured but only in the UK. Guess I can wait a few weeks after coming back and then file a claim if anything happens

If you are staying at a weird place (like a hostel) I would recommend carrying your gear with you at all times, and at that point you would want it to be lightweight. My personal vote would be for the 24-70 and 24mm prime. You'd get a standard zoom, and a fast sealed prime for lowlight. Leave any white lenses at home, they are very noticeable and more importantly the weight will add up the longer you carry it.

Just got back from the operation 'Brother's Keeper' if anyone followed it. (The three Israeli kidnapped teens). Uploading a bunch of photos from the op.
less exciting but i just got back from trying out portra 400 shot some street in my town centre never realised how shy i was with my camera until i got out there and couldnt bring myself to shoot eventually i manned up and started asking for pictures and shot some candid stuff without permission i was so focused on being quick that i never used exposure lock or framed anything creatively though so i dont expect any of it to come out good
have faith in your camera in yourself
When I shoot street stuff I try to pick an exposure setting that would expose most scenes in the light that you're in and then all you have to worry about is focusing.
what about meeting kanye is alluring to you?
I'm just a real big fan of his music and meeting him in the flesh would be a literal dream come true. No, literally, because I had a dream once I met him and Kim Kardashian and they gave me hugs and it was honestly a great dream.
My uncle works in the media industry. He let me try his 5D Mark III, what a camera :O Their crew usually have those big cameras, but now use DSLRs, pretty cool seeing them work.
