there is a criminal on the loose in my area last guesstimated location as of 1 hour ago less than a mile from my house locking all my doors and windows and sleeping with a knife under my pillow tonight
I'm just a real big fan of his music and meeting him in the flesh would be a literal dream come true. No, literally, because I had a dream once I met him and Kim Kardashian and they gave me hugs and it was honestly a great dream.
awesome! It just seems like to me that Kanye is kind of a crazy dude and he seems pretty overwhelmed by his fame and his perception of his position in the media and such. I haven't met the guy but what i've seen from his behaviour he seems like an asshole. I wish him well.
Arent jokes meant to be funny though?
quiet you
quiet you
I Forgot that unless you put ":v:" at the end of your sentence, people are going to assume you're being hostile. It was a joke guys
how could you
I'm having problems keeping a consistent white-balance throughout a set of pictures, how do you guys tackle that problem? (Lightroom)
what kind of light was it under?
natural, changed throughout the day
ah right, well in that case all you can really do is set it by eye and maybe if the same thing appears through the entire set (like a piece of clothing on someone or w/e), compare its colour side by side but that's about it [editline]6th July 2014[/editline] ^probably not that helpful
My brother hosts a LAN event in and around Brighton every now and then with an attendance of about 10-30 people and he wants me to go and do some photography for their next event, sounds like some fun actually. Should be some great expierence for me. My fathers also running an outside class for children to learn about hunting and gun safety sometime next week and wants me to go and do some photography for that too this summers gonna be gooood
did you talk to him a lot? what was he like? im not normally one to gush over celebrities but kanye interests me
Our conversation consisted of: Me: "Hey man, I work for the venue, could I possibly get a photo?" Kanye: "Nah man no photos please" Followed by his bouncer giving me a look that clearly said he was really happy to see me. Was really really odd though, it's the last sort of club I'd expect someone like Kanye to come to. He's also kinda short and his teeth are so bright they pretty much glow in the dark apparently Lilly Allen was there too, was completely fucked and got into a fight with someone but I didn't see that
ey yo so someone wants to hire me as a photographer for a large family event, here are the details: I'm thinking I'll be bringing my 6D w/50mm 1.4 and my Pentax K-5 with a 16-45mm and 85mm as well as a flash w/umbrella. I can probably get my girlfriend to assist if she's free too. What sort of $$$ should I charge? Also, it's an hour drive there (another hour back) so I'll be factoring the travel cost into the price. Any tips or suggestions?
If you're not sure what's appropriate to charge a client, it's always a good idea to ask them what their budget for photography is. Sometimes you'll be pleasantly surprised and it's several hundreds more than you expected.
I went to the Yorkshire War Time experience the other day, took a bunch of photos with my phone. (Note: It's a £90 so don't expect much quality-wise.) http://imgur.com/a/CR7mr The few of the actual battle were much more epic IRL, and would've been captured were it not for my shoddy photography skills. There was a lot of potentially good shots I messed up to, but took them with my phone in a vertical position. Most of them are just of the Germans, though, couldn't see the Americans from where I was, apart from this one I got, looks pretty cool I think. Except for the darn pesky crowd blocking half of it. Got some battered for my OM2n and it seems to work correctly, now I just need to find something cool to photograph to see how it handles film. Fingers crossed that it works well
There might be a war coming up, crossing my fingers that there won't be any, but if there is I'm going in. Feeling really weird, trying to chill myself with some music (Porcupine Tree). There are fireworks on both sides, not the good kind of. Love one another, Facepunch.
hope nothing of that sort happens, stay safe dude
Good luck dude I hope the cunts on both sides get their shit together.
Keep your head on a swivel, man. Be careful out there.
Stay frosty.
My squadron has just taken down 4 Hamas operatives. We preparing ground entrance, hopefully that won't happen. Feeling really weird right now.
So I'm going to be shooting a rowing club for some promotional stuff relating to the club, anyone have any tips for shooting sports like that? Pretty excited to do this, will be a neat personal challenge for me. Since it's an open club, the idea is to make it seem approachable for everyone, so I'm supposed to keep the focus off individuals and more on the actual act of rowing. Anyway, any tips anyone can give, I'd appreciate it a lot!
What have I created I was walking through a forest with my camera and took a picture, but the holy hell bright light looked weird. So... I took a 2 second long video instead. Got on the computer, took a screenshot of it, put it into lightroom, threw a VSCO filter on it ...and then put it on instagram. I feel ridiculously hipster right now. This Olympus date back has a year range of 1980-2015, kind of crazy to think that they planned that far ahead. Most cameras now have a lifespan of only a few years, so seeing a company at least entertain the idea of a 35 year lifespan is pretty wild. It also made me realize that there's only 2 more years that this data back can be useful lol
Don't start getting too attached to your OM/Zuiko system if you want to sell it at all :P
I'm not attached, I just thought it was neat haha. But yeah this is the 2nd Olympus I've owned and I'm not a fan compared to my Canon A1. I like the size of the lenses, but other than that I'm pro Canon FD all the way
I accidentally Londoned again. [t]http://i.imgur.com/lvNk9cG.jpg[/t]
Go see Pick
No time sadly :( I was posting because I keep coming down here without the time to see you guys, it's killing me. [editline]11th July 2014[/editline] When are England Facepunch Photogs coming to Scotland :P
saw tom cruise on the freeway
So I probably look like a guy walking into a bar and having everyone look at him but can you guys recommend a good camera for texture reference and generally an overall good camera. Price isn't really an issue to some extent, around £500 is where I'm looking.
