In terms of house close I'll generally either be about 7ft away grabbing an entire wall to several inches away looking at dirt stains so I'd prefer it to be kind of flexible.

Also consider the Tokina 35mm f2.8 macro if you need something a tad bit wider

Hoping we'll withdraw out of the border soon, people here are getting real tired & moody.

I was thinking how scary it is that this is probably the closest humans can imagine the concept of nothingness. I can't imagine how any kind of void would be thinkable. It's like it tricks you into thinking more is there when there is nothing by putting grey squares behind it. This is a great example of alternate art. [editline]15th July 2014[/editline] Art that wasn't intended to be art.

i kinda want to wrap real life things with this texture now.
I'd buy that as a big sticker to put on things if I had money to waste.
Finally figured out why my camera (a superzoom/bridge camera, sorryyyyy) had so much noise in indoor pics. It was set on AutoISO (which wasn't indicated on the screen) and it kept setting the ISO to 1600 in a fully lit room :/
1600 is pretty normal for indoors depending on the type of light and what the aperture setting is on the camera

was so excited to pick up this roll today and now ive scanned the first few strips i feel like shit [editline]15th July 2014[/editline] prime example this was the one that im most disappointed with so far i knew that there was gonna be some glare but i didnt realise it would ruin the whole shot
Use a polarizer

Just got lost in a 9 hour scanning session of 6 rolls, when i get started i cant stop. its 4:30am.
1600 is pretty normal for indoors depending on the type of light and what the aperture setting is on the camera
It was actually set to AutoISO 1600,whatever that is. Maybe that 1600 is the ''basenumber'' and it could go lower and higher than that or something?

this is so cool
I have not made a photograph in a very long time, but after observing this forum, it is painfully clear: the limitation is not on the photography system itself, but myself. this goes for everyone here, i believe.
what's painful about that
Use a polarizer
had one in my bag and didnt think to use it that's what i mean; on most of this roll ive fucked up either composition or exposure in order to get the other one right useful in the long run to see where to improve but disappointing when scanning
Does your cam have AEL? That can be very useful for cameras with center weighted metering. You meter with what you think it should be reading (for instance set it on the shadows), then you hold down AEL and move your camera to properly compose
