I'm always on the lookout for stuff, that kind is pretty uncommon though (I've seen 3 contax G deals in 3 years of checking, and 1 Leica). Canon FD is the most common, hence why I use them.
Look into the Konica 40mm f1.8, with an adapter it would still be smaller than the G 45mm lens, and it's supposed to be quite decent optically. They're only like $70 in mint condition

i already kinda have that set up, with my minolta 45mm f/2, i just kinda want to get a g1 body down the line too, you know?
Makes sense, the G1 is pretty cool. Overall it's a good camera, but I probably wouldn't use it much if I had an a7 (with the Techart AF adapter anyway). The size is pretty large and I'm not even remotely a fan of the viewfinder.
Takes quite good photos though, the AF locks on surprisingly well.

If I got the m-rokkor I would get the CLE, but it's a bit more expensive, and older, but it's smaller.
Yeah the AF is like the biggest problem using the lenses on the a7, there isn't a manual focus ring on the lenses so you need weird adapters to get manual focus (and they aren't that good, but serviceable). There is an autofocus adapter for G lenses on the a7 and NEX series, I've heard they are pretty good
The CLE is good, just know certain lenses don't work with it and it has different frame lines than other Leicas. It would be excellent with the 40mm though!

Speaking about buying my first DSLR,I won't miss my current camera a lot but the only thing i'll miss is the 30x zoom. It's really convenient when trying to photograph animals. Too bad there aren't 24-720 lenses for DSLRs. And when they do come out,if ever,the price will be astronomical.
my 35 f/2 is saying error 01 whenever i take a photo below f/2.5 (2.8, 3.5, 4, 5.6 etc) any suggestions?
it used to do it randomly but idk what is doing it now
