make your shutter speed equivalent for the frames per second [editline]22nd July 2014[/editline] based on 1/50 for 25 fps [editline]22nd July 2014[/editline] so motion looks natural and smooth when you put it together not jerky
I'm doing 30 fps, isn't the time inbetween the shots more important for jerkyness? I have no clue. Is the long shutterspeed for motion blur effects? I'm using magic lantern for the timing. A particular problem I have is adjusting to the changing light conditions.
you're taking 30 photos per second? why don't you just make a video then...?
No the video will have 30 fps :) Just though't I'd mention the target fps since you spoke about 25 fps up there.
i meant in the way normal motion blur for the eyes is 1/50 at 25fps, calculate it for your shooting fps, not delivery fps. [editline]22nd July 2014[/editline] so if you shoot two photos a second, use a shutter of 1/4s (i think, i'm shit at maths and it took me ages last time i did it for a timelapse)

it's one of those things that stuck with me during garden architecture, our plant/species teacher told us how Hosta don't like bright sun so it's best to plant the Hosta in shade or half shade. If planted wrong the Hosta will end up with holes (burns) in their leafs. If planted right it's great in small groups, especially cultivars such as pictured (green/yellow leaf).
Just finished my second day. I'm getting a feel of it now. I'm basically their photoshop guy. Anything that needs to be scanned and touched up, they give it to me. I get paid to photoshop all day.
I get paid to help old people make poor financial decisions
I get paid to write little Matlab scripts to correct fuckups in data.

I work for a local company that provides advertisment but also does stuff like shirts and logo designs for local buisness, at the moment I work in their small office teaching a 21 year old how to use Photoshop as well as running through sorting out the computer so its all organized. However when im not working in the office, I work at home recieving emails for stuff they want touched up on. Its fun but its weird because staring at a computer screen for 6 hours non stop for a few days a week somehow tires me out...
i get paid to serve drink to people at a popular family friendly festival in dunfries
just sent a mail to Canon support, complaining about a stubborn piece of dust that's between the IR protection screen and sensor. I don't have any warranty by their book left but who knows where this wil lead.

Dumb question: If I buy a 70-300mm Macro lens, can I use it for ''regular'' telephoto usage or is it just for macro? Specific lens i'm talking about is the Sigma 70-300mm F4.0-5.6 DG APO Macro (Nikon) btw.

Sitting by my gate at Heathrow with about 5 minutes before boarding starts for my plane home to Adelaide via Dubai. Huge ups to all the outstanding photographers on this forum, their families and their friends for making this life changing trip possible. I strongly feel I have matured both personally and photographically through this adventure, and feel prepared for this coming stage of my life. Thanks everyone.
You were in the UK?
