I just realized I snapped a photo with my smartphone too. [t]http://i.imgur.com/wDe76Nn.jpg[/t] The photo doesn't do it justice though - definitely the most intense and vibrant rainbow I've ever seen. And here's a thing: The color frame is a bit blocky, because I had to warp it a bit in Photoshop so it fits the Helios' lens distortion (or maybe it's the other way around?)
Sitting by my gate at Heathrow with about 5 minutes before boarding starts for my plane home to Adelaide via Dubai. Huge ups to all the outstanding photographers on this forum, their families and their friends for making this life changing trip possible. I strongly feel I have matured both personally and photographically through this adventure, and feel prepared for this coming stage of my life. Thanks everyone.
Cheers mate, it was a pleasure meeting you and having you over!
Free Wifi in the bus to Hamburg, that's pretty cool. I now posted at 90 km/h
yo i just worked 35 hours at a festival getting drink spilt on me and sticky arms and abusive people but the craic was fucking 90
I want to visit Germany one day :(
I've been to Cologne. They have big steaks and pretzels there
I've been to Cologne. They have big steaks and pretzels there
Thats pretty much whereabouts I want to go. I have some friends I met over the summer that live around Meschede. So it would be great to travel to Dusseldorf or Cologne. [editline]27th July 2014[/editline] Also just got a copy of Lightroom, This is seriously useful holy shit
I recommend visiting Berlin, both west and east.
I recommend visiting Berlin, both west and east.
I did not enjoy Berlin when I was there. It is pretty cool how "cold war" it feels still though because west berlin is super western and east berlin is still super comblock.
I prefer Hamburg to Berlin tbh., it's... rougher, more cincere.
Probs gonna go to germany next year to visit some friends that live there. Thinking about visiting Hamburg and Berlin, while we're staying at a house in Trier
Trier is a nice city with all the Roman stuff but the time I stayed there for work the people seemed kinda... white-trashy? Dunno. Be sure to check out the landscape and the Eifel volcanic park if you can, when you're in Hamburg take your time to check the Reeperbahn but take it as what it is, a big tourist/prostitution street in the middle of being destroyed by investors, drop it and go to the "Schanzenviertel" instead, lots of alternative culture there.
Make it a reality

My friends are kinda in the rave/drum 'n bass scene, so it will probably be some alternative things happening.
Had a weird dream last night: I went to Arizona and I was in this like desert type area, and I was climbing over a hill and Austin was at the top of it and he was like "whoa I had a feeling you'd be here!", even though in the dream no body knew I went to Arizona. We started walking to where Austin supposedly lived and then we saw Rob there, but it wasn't a surprise to us for some reason. Can't remember anything else lol
Spirit guide.

Life in the lab Today was the day that everyone got to talk about their least favorite customers, crazy people who buy stuff, so you can't kick them out, but they are just really rude.
Oh fuck me this is the first thing I see when I open flickr Linked because I guess it's a bit grim
Probably going to a zoo today. Won't be able to pull a lot of creative pics with the animals (elephants with big distance between you and the animal often don't position themselves where you want them to be..) but it should be lots of fun.
Bring a wide angle I did that once and it was fun
Bring a wide angle I did that once and it was fun
Don't have a DSLR :( I'm going to buy a second-hand D7000 from my brother in about a year though.
Bring a wide angle I did that once and it was fun
I do that all the time
Did some long-ish exposure astrophotography with my telescope recently. M57, the ring nebula, visible near the bottom of the image. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/yxk3hyf.jpg[/thumb] Andromeda Galaxy, only the core is visible because I dont have a large aperature telescope, only an 80mm refractor on a basic equatorial mount with a constant motor drive. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/mUq5a3D.jpg[/thumb] The star Alpha Ophiuchi [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/f6kzVHr.jpg[/thumb]

Back from the zoo. Really interesting zoo,it has an indoor jungle and desert including exotic plants and stuff but my pics are mostly tourist-pics. Almost no attention paid to composition (you try holding a camera at 720mm stable enough for composition lol) but I can make a thread with the pics and explanations. Not masterpieces but the animals and stuff would be interesting. y/n?
Burgers Zoo Arnhem?
Burgers Zoo Arnhem?
Yup. One of the most beautiful zoos in the Netherlands IMHO
So, it's final - I'm moving to England (Huddersfield) to study in a couple of months. Any places that deal with film there that you guys know of? What prices should I expect? How much does film cost in the UK in general?
