I saw an ad about how the guys at burger king pull the patty out a bit so it doesnt look lost in the bun and such. If your burgers look a bit weak, maybe try that out.
Got a gig doing food photos for a bar and grill! Anything I should keep in mind?
I'm bringing an off camera flash with off camera trigger for a low power bounce fill (just need something to bounce it off), my a77 with 16-50 2.8 (has 1:5 on the long end which is close enough), a 50mm 1.4 if needed, then my nex with a 50mm 3.5 macro just in case. Then a little tripod if I end up needing it. Missing anything?
Then I'm also going to officiate and photograph a wedding in October for some friends, stoked about that too
mist/brush the salad with tiny drops of olive oil to make it look fresher
drop salt into the coke for nice bubbles

lots of people miss the top down angle but that can look cool too sometimes

This should be perfect for you. Make it an art.

Welp so much for trying to get back into photography, that's my camera completely busted after I was thrown in a lake while taking photos :v:
I would kill that person if somebody threw me in a lake with camera and all while taking photos. I'm dead serious.
holy shit what happened exactly
Ask him for a new camera.
holy shit what happened exactly
I was taking some photos of the guys jumping into the lake from a pier, when one of them grabbed me (i'm very lightweight) and threw me in. Sucked major because 1. I can't swim, 2. I had no change of clothes, and 3. Camera. Yeaaaah. I've only had a point and shoot (never owned anything better I suppose) but it was still fairly expensive, and new, too... It was turned on when I fell in and examining it afterwards, it's got water inside the lens, and won't turn on at all. It's chilling in some rice but I don't think that's gonna do shit.
I'm v. thankful I was not wearing anything with pockets when I got thrown in as that would have probably killed nearly all electronic devices I own in one go :v: - My glasses also got lost underwater, but people helped search for them and they found them after 5 minutes or so
Yeah I would make that person buy me a new one, that's incredibly uncalled for
What the fuck was he thinking?
It's not the 90s any more and people will have a phone in their pocket, he even saw you holding a camera.
I graduated high school today guys :D. And I'm going to Hawaii next week, so expect photos :v:
Have to edit .jpg pictures to make them suitable for heighth profile explainations.

Kill me
trying to buy a large format nikkor 300mm f9, a sekonic L-508 lightmeter, and Pentax 6x7 165mm f2.8 from a guy for $200. I looked on eBay and I could get anywhere from $600 to $1100 ($360-810 net income) for them so I figured it was worth a shot because I don't have a job this summer lol

May I suggest you take swimming lessons? I mean, I personally think everyone should know how to swim because there many tragic accidents happening which could've been easily avoided if the person knew how to swim. But that's your call ofcourse

Yeah it's definitely something I should consider, although I never actually go to swimming pools or whatever because I don't enjoy it much :v:

That's because you can't swim mate.
Do it. It's a life skill.

Find a nice lake. Stay away from ponds or places without rivers flowing through them, the water is shitty. Public pools are gross, at least learn in someone's private pool.

It's gotta pay at least $300 a week with about no work involved that's what it's currently competing against

Ladies and gentlemen, Australia!
MY CAMERA HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD
Leaving it sitting in rice actually worked! :v:
Last night when I checked it, it was working, but there was a lot of water behind the screen, but it seems to have cleared up already!
While being submerged in a lake, it's managed to lose the cord which is a bit mysterious :v:
Here's a photo of a stick fight to celebrate!

Let's see. Oh one of your previous posts has an image that links back to your flickr, 'Steve Otto' - you even have a link to your personal Facebook. Going to an art school in CA, living in Dayton OH - brothers Doug and Mark.
Reported.

It's just song lyrics. Which agency would you even report to, and why would they take it seriously? Why the hostility? You're clearly new here despite being an '08.
I don't even have an 'accountant'.
Nice try.
