I found this website a couple of days ago:

Basically, you link your flickr and select a photo - then you have to rate and critique 3 other photos to get your photo CC'd. It works pretty well, and while there's still some bugs to iron out by the looks of it, maybe it'll be proper excellent one day. What do you guys think?

hopped on, really great concept
feel like that picmaly thing would work better if you could skip some pictures cos on some of them there isn't really much you can critique other than something like "picture was fine. not amazing, not bad. ok. find more interesting subjects??" which isn't really helpful cos really what they need to know is to photo more and consume more

i'm not really sure what cc i can give? other than oh my god this picture has been done 1 0 0 000 times already? but that's not helpful and just sounds mean spirted

I feel like i need a meta-picmaly, for people to cc cc
When I see something like that I just go "Well executed, but not very interesting" and rate accordingly. I get what you mean, but IMO if you can skip pictures, some people will end up not getting any critique, which goes against the whole idea. On the other hand, if you tell them that the photo isn't too interesting, they'll probably adjust accordingly.
Signed up. Gave feedback which people rated helpful. Got 1 piece of feedback so far that is helpful. Not a bad site, really great idea, and I hope it takes off. One thing that's annoying though is selecting a photo. Is there a way to do it without clicking next over and over to find the photo you want?

be as harsh as you need to be without seeming snide, that's a legitimate criticism :)
So I had my enrollment day today at college for my Media/Photography cause im taking.
Pretty happy, my first week at the college involves taking a class trip to the Bexhill De La Warr Pavilion to a photography exibition. Should be fun

Not as of now. I sent a feedback email, suggesting a bunch of things plus that. Hopefully he'll take notice.

Found this on Reddit
camping out in a field tomorrow night with some friends, hopefully get some good night exposures without the street lights or anything.
felt good to go out and take a few picture. My creativeness has been in hibernation all year long.
Stayed up all night, and decided to try and take some cool fog pictures. I wish I would have went to a different location too but by the time I was done at the first one, the fog was getting pretty light.

Just updated my insurance with all my camera equipment on a Valuable Personal Property plan. This is a reminder for everyone out there to look into insurance for your expensive equipment!
I just read Kodak discontinued their BW400CN (B&W with C-41 processing), gonna try and obtain some of the remaining stock at shops. Would love to use it for some personal projects in the future.

Very bummed about it personally. I have about 4 rolls, I am a big fan of the results. Not that I shoot much BW anyway, but still sad to see it go
Me too man, I shot my first roll of it during christmas dinner with my family, lots of underexposed shots but very good scan results even with a flatbed.
The Ilford XP2 is nice but I don't know how it compares, I've used both, but I think I preferred the Ilford one, Price should be about the same
Ilford XP2 can be nearly twice as expensive depending on your source, it gives better negatives for darkroom prints though but the Kodak is cheaper and does it's job just fine.
it's a real shame kodak film is going down the pan - i hope they hold the motion picture business through until i've at least graduated. would feel well bummed if i never get to shoot film
also this is the first film i've shot that's been discontinued. i feel like this is growing up.

i am, i'm pressing forward in support of digital cinema, but it always helps to understand other mediums so you can decide the right one - or even understand more organic responses to imaging and apply that to digital production
I took my first photograph in what seems like 2 months
I took mine on the 27th of June, when I first got my camera. I feel like I have improved a lot since then tbh.
