Does anyone know any photographers that do sort of straight forward cinematic light and contrast oriented environments work? Or portraits too. I'm just trying to find some good studies for painting more interesting atmospheres. Basically stuff with strong contrast/ focal and dynamic lighting? Like the photography version of this if that makes sense? Heyo dudes. Long time, no see. Quick question, currently eyeing a Mamiya rb67 that comes with a Polaroid back, a coupla filters, a 120 film back, some film, etc. Should I get this? Only $450.
do you have the means to digitize MF film? as in a proper film scanner, if not maybe someone in your network that owns one and is ok with having it used now and then? would be a waste to invest in a MF system but not have the ability to digitize and pp everything.
I know a site that develops and scans the film. >_>
me too, but they don't deliver quality I can do good PP with. that's what i'm trying to get at. it's going to be a very expensive hobby when you end up paying 20$ to shoot and scan 1 roll but only have low quality scans.
$450 could be okay, depends on the lenses that it comes with
If you get a medium format camera I'd make sure you are going to get a decent scanner for it like a Epson V-550 or something. If you're going to get a place to develop your film fine, but my opinion is you should at least scan the negs yourself. Logical next step is to develop your own B&W film.
i found a gw690 for £140 [editline]29th October 2014[/editline] does anyone here do any post work with timecode?
What kind of GW690 is it? Original model? Anyhow, good price. Don't hesitate and just buy it already if it's in good condition.
it's a III kinda shitty condition but mechanically fine. 4 days left on it, should i bid?
It's not going to be that low in 4 days Most eBay items get the majority of bids in the last 2 minutes
I always hear really good reviews of the Ion film2sd plus they are around £100 i think and scan at 14mp the only thing is im not sure if they scan medium format
I always hear really good reviews of the Ion film2sd plus they are around £100 i think and scan at 14mp the only thing is im not sure if they scan medium format
it does 35mm only and looking from the spec sheet it's not good. 14 megapixel at what dpi? not very high for prints I'm sure. no proper software such as silverfast so my advice is don't buy.
hey guys, i've just recieved this message about printing one of my photographs; It would be pretty cool to have it used in their magazine, but i don't know if i should let them use it free of charge. as I dug around I found this and it looks like they must monetize SOME money on this magazine also, i could also just ask for credit and maybe have them mail me an issue of the mag?
say you want $50 or something if they don't give you it, no problem - not your loss
^ what he said, if you hand out freebies you're going to end up handing out more and more and not earn a single dime.
say you want $50 or something if they don't give you it, no problem - not your loss
$50? They use Danish Kroner there. I would ask for a small royalty fee, credit, and a possible free issue.
i just mailed 'em back asking for 50 bux, credit and maybe a copy of the magazine for one time usage of the photo. not gonna lie, i'm going to be pretty psyched if this works out haha :v:
good luck man on other news today, I just bought my domain and host. waiting for everything to be online so I can start uploading my portfolio I whipped up in Adobe Muse
I really can't wait to get my hand back, just 11 more days and my splint is off.
for scanning film I think a flatbread is better than like those dedicated film only scanners cos those are a lil camera w a lil light I really appreciate my v500 i got for 100 pounds [editline]30th October 2014[/editline]
does anyone fancy shooting wiz kalifa and rick ross next month?
