shot an event for VICE tonight
didn't really go as well as I'd liked, had about 15 other photographers with 550d's and kit lenses crowding up the stage, literally anyone with a dslr just ended up jumping on stage and security was letting them all on
not saying using that makes you not a real photographer but i mean like I was the only photographer supposed to be on stage and I'm not as big enough of a dick to tell them all they're not allowed to be there, and it definitely adversely effected the quality of my photos
have you given VICE feedback about your experience that night yet? that's something I'd do not only to elaborate why the results are not what you were aiming for but also to prevent similar situations with VICE in the future.

I have been thinking about school, and that most of my aunts and uncles went to RISD and now have jobs in what they majored in, but they pay $1000 a month paying of their student debt and it's been about 25 years now... Is student debt worth it?
isn't it based on what you earn anyway? depending on what you're doing or want to do, most careers pretty much require a degree of sorts. at least here in the uk they do.
There's a chance I could go somewhere on experience alone, but it's slim. And I don't think $45000 dollars a year tuition is equivalent to what one could make with a photography job.
