So I took some snapshots at my sister's graduation this weekend. Looking back at them (along with some of my older shots) I find it hard to like them like I used to. Maybe it's because I just need to get back into the swing of things, but I just look at them and don't like them. The colors are wrong, it's a bit grainy, and seems slightly out of focus and no matter how much I try to tweak them, they don't seem right.

Thinking of starting my very first project, documenting the streets of my local town centre. Its probably been done 100 times before, but I think it would be great seen as they are going to be building a lot of new buildings in the next 5 years, and they are refurbishing the main shopping centre and everything

Shoot with that in mind, research what's being renovated and make sure you get shots of it [editline]17th December 2014[/editline] Also guys, I'm working 48 hours a week right now and I can instantly see how people lose touch with shooting when full time work comes into play. Don't even know if I'm gonna get my Christmas card shot !

I work 11 hour days and when I get home I'm like not in the mood to go outside to take dark photos

I feel so out of touch with the popular opinion of Facepunch's other sections (particularly SH). I remember when it was super liberal but now times have changed I guess. I only say this because I saw codenamecueball's post in SH and it got rated dumb. My opinion's are usually the contrary of what most FP users in SH say, and I might even be considered an SJW. Maybe I've been on this forum for too long lmao. this section is pretty much the only reason that's keeping me here.

Other sections are a great place to be an entitled xenophobic hardcore online gamer

Someone gave me a bunch of expired film, which I've never tried to get developed before, would it be a total waste of money to get it developed? (after using it, obviously)

When you edit your photos, do you work towards recreating what you saw when you took the photo? Or do you rather aim for the best possible image you can create with what you have? PS. After a lo-o-ong hiatus, I'm finally developing some photos - I had the opportunity to shoot a sunrise from an airplane - truly a majestic sight!
