even though I shot an 5 day festival in Croatia earlier this year I only really got like 2 or 3 photos that I liked from the whole thing which is a shame
I love the video we made though, I think having the 3 different parts of it was a cool idea

oh well, happy new year guys, hope you all have a good one
put more effort in to doing more interesting things with photography
right now i am looking at what i did last year and i feel like the huge majority of it is very lacklustre
oh god
I'm going sober for the whole of January
good
Happy new year!!
I went to Disneyland, got very sick, and peed the bed (i didn't know that's what exhaustion does)
luckily it was an inflatable bed
Was in light room and didn't think that it was 2015 and almost renamed the folders because I thought they were wrong.

Today I really feel like I came out of my shell with photography. Decided to go on my own to the town centre to shoot, took lots of street photos, with some using people as main subjects. Met a lot of people and had some great interesting conversations.
Headed down towards the seafront where I saw a couple of skaters, and decided to do some photography with them. Spent about an hour with them just talking to them about skating and photography and just had a laugh, it was great fun.

starting my 365 today :)
Nice job mate!
i'm in that forever struggle of trying to decide if doing a 365 is worth it
i'm in that forever struggle of trying to decide if doing a 365 is worth it
no harm in attempting it I suppose, I feel like at some point the stream will get stale with general around the house pictures until something exciting happens probably.

Most people who do this never finish, mad props, especially with the consistency in style and quality.
hey math wiz people out there, i need a math check here
so with my a7r i've got 7360x4912 pixels, equating to 36.2mp. trying to get xpan style images will mean a 2.71:1 ratio, so i'm getting 7360x2726 at 20.1mp which is still very good. with this i'm changing the full frame sensor size from 36x24mm to 36x13.28mm (i did 36mm divided by 2.71), giving me an overall of 478.08mm squared. this part i think i've got right for the most part.
the xpan image size is 65x24mm at a crop factor of about 0.55x, what is the approximate crop factor i get with my 36x13.28mm images? the x-pan images are ~1.81x larger in sensor area.
i just want to know so i use a lens with good vertical perspective still. this is probably overly complex lol
[editline]3rd January 2015[/editline]
i have a feeling it's the same as normal because the crop is factored based on the horizontal dimensions
crop factor of 1 cos your pics have the same horizontal FOV as they would normally
does anyone here play video games anymore
i used to then i stopped then i started again
does anyone here play video games anymore
I stopped (or started to gradually decrease amount of time) playing games as soon as I got my first camera
Found this to be more enjoyable and interesting to be honest.
I find it hard to focus on more than 2 or 3 interests / hobbies at once and video games aren't a priority usually. I beat The Last of Us over the summer though.
And I was super in to League of Legends before I got a new (old) camera for xmas.
I play games more than I take photos
Playing Silent Hill Downpour, Oracle of Seasons, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire right now
I like games a lot
does anyone here play video games anymore
the only thing i play these days is tf2, and that's only when i'm on skype with my mates who are playing with me and we're all drinking beer
I stopped playing games for like a half a year and just recently started again. Only on occasion tho, just playing old stuff I've missed out on.
My late christmas present of Sebastio Salgado's book "genesis" is probably one of the most incredible things i have ever looked at, every single photo in it stuns me
I've put all my Landscape photo's into an album on Flickr if anybody wants to have a gander

on topic
I pretty much play games any time i can which is super rare nowadays
i play a lot of games
forza 4, euro truck sim 2, animal crossing, street fighter 3, ect ect
too much time
http://petapixel.com/2015/01/02/self-taught-chinese-street-photographer-tao-liu-eye-peculiar-moments/
I saw this on reddit and this is exactly the kind of shots I expect from here.
don't really play games anymore, whenever I try to I get this really nagging feeling that I should be doing something productive instead, to the point where I can't enjoy the game
so I go and scroll up and down facebook for 30 mins instead
am looking forward to playing MGS5, the new Mass Effect and HL3 when they come out though
so I'll never play hl3 then ha ha lol
we should make a steam group and play together sometime, guys
Only a little bit
