I have an interview with a magazine on Tuesday for the position of photographer, i emailed them last year but they contacted me this week saying that the position has come available and were wondering if it was something i was still interested in. Starting salary of 20K which is a hell of a lot more than i'm on now.
Not sure how they'll take to my lack of paid jobs and commissions, but i'm hoping i can sway them with my portfolio, knowledge and charm

I have this horrible dilemma, I am wanting to take a photography course in college, but to get in I need a certificate in art and design, or having at least completed it in high school (I completed literally nothing in school), so I could go into an art and design course - where I'd need to provide examples of paintings, drawings, sculptures, the lot. get a few A3 sized prints for the job interview, especially if it's a magazine that's published on paper.
I just became a photo editor for my college newspaper and I'm pretty excited to start. I'm fairly new but my professor, who is also in charge of the Rampage, liked my photos and papers in class that she just straight up made me an editor. Nervously excited to see what's ahead.
If you guys decide to come further south (brighton) give me a shout I wouldnt mind joining you, that is if your alright with a 16 year old however.

Hopefully going to be photographing for the conservatives around eastbourne soon as the general election comes in, my dads going to be running for them in our local area and wants to get me a press pass to all of the talks happening around eastbourne which should be interesting
