oops
I went to the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art the other day and saw some really cool inspirational stuff. They had a gallery that used different types of film as an artistic medium and I was in love.

I didn't take many pictures because I didn't know what their policy was on it. I also wanted to enjoy the art and not worry about pictures to much. I do wish that I could have a chance to just go around with my Pentax and have the place to myself.
Just ordered a new tripod, my current one was blown over by the wind during an exposure the other night, figured it might be time for a better one. (thankfully I caught it before my camera ended up in the snow)
Alright, I double checked and took what advice I could from this thread for today's rescue event. The biggest thing I was able to try was swapping to P mode, and this is what came of that, unedited:

The shutter is noticeably slower when shooting in this mode, which I find odd since it's letting so much more light in. I would figure that more light tends to mean a lower shutter speed. But again, I'm not a photographer, so I couldn't say. I'll probably try looking up manuals tonight so that I can play with the aperture as per another piece of advice.
I also asked my parents where the flash was, and neither of them know. My mom said it might have been tossed since it was broken, but I'll try looking around for it some more tomorrow.
Fortunately, though, I got a new 16GB CF card for the camera so I don't need to worry about clearing it off after every event. It's nice going from ~200 photos on a card to ~1500. I think it's a bit faster with read/write, too. Only thing I've noticed is that the camera seems to boot slower.

I would also like to thank you all again for your help. I really do appreciate everyone's help.
bump up your ISO to 1600 or 3200 next time you are shooting indoors in P mode. by default P mode uses low ISO.

letting in more light means longer shutter speed which means if you move your camera anything is gonna get picked up.
so say if you're at like, 1/20 and your hans are shaking a bit it's gonna be obvious. that photo looks closer to 1/8th
went to hang out in a cave

Cold and Dark would be the best way to put Germanys current weather.
"As a child I can remember hanging out in that very building listening to Orion and the other fishermen at the dock, relating their stories which I am sure were embellished for those young ears. But the smells of the warmth from that little wood stove and the oils from the nets that would be worked on and just the general odor of the waterfront, to include bait barrels. Its a memory that lives on for ages!"

Seriously overjoyed that my photo was able to evoke that memory/feeling in someone, which is part of the reason I like shooting so much in the first place.
