Come to think of it I actually don't like the taste or consistency of salmon.
your username is The Salmon. your real name is Sam Haberman. Sam Haberman Sam Man Samman Salmon is that how you got The Salmon? edit: has this already been realized/discussed before and I am extremely late? I had thought about this awhile ago, but never really thought of the proper way to bring it up. it'd be kind of awkward just to quote a random post of yours just to say what I stated above. figured this post would be the best of any.

But sometime next week I'm going along to assist with a mountain biking shoot, I'm really excited!

I don't get how old people can't understand the appeal of film. They used film most of their life, they know what its all about! I can understand if a younger person, who has grown up with digital, doesn't see the appeal of film. But I really don't see why I end up in arguments about why I shoot film over digital with older people so often.

I can see why they'd like the instant nature of digital photography. For them it's good enough.

But I really don't see why I end up in arguments about why I shoot film over digital with older people so often.
maybe it's that they don't understand the difference in appeal over the convenience in modern technology. To a lot of people, "a picture is just a picture" and to them the convenience of a pocket digital camera trumps the qualities of various filmstocks
Imo, film images still have this quality to them that you simply can't get with digital.
Agh, so last night it rained harder than it has in a while. The parking lot at the school up the street is slightly sloped, so all the water usually flows down into it, this is usually not a problem, but something must have clogged the drainage grate, because it was about halfway up my calf with water. I wish I could have gotten pictures, but I didn't even make it off my porch before I was completely soaked, so I figured getting my camera was not a good idea.

I'm back from my 2 week bicycling trip through Germany. As a summary: It was a life-experience. I met so many nice people, got a more complete and deeper view on my own country, a new feeling for time and respect for modern transportation and cycling as well. And distances feel different to me now. I came through hundreds of little villages, HUGE cities like Hamburg, slept "wild" in a tent for about 8 of the 14 days, lost about 5 kg of "fat" in the first 4 days and gained leg muscles I never had. Also doing ths during one of the hottest periods this year( 32° in shadow at 10 in the morning) didn't help either, at one point we realized that we were drinking about 8 litres of water a day just during cycling. Also since the beginning was so so so exhausting and we were burning about 6000 kcalories a day I got a new, well, awareness of food. It's just such a weird feeling when everything feels really tiring and like you can't pedal anymore and then you eat something small like a sweet and eat an apple and 10 minutes later you really feel how suddenly the movement feels more easy and you can go 3 gears higher, faster, longer. Quite the experience.
That's pretty cool! I was thinking of doing the same thing in the near future. Also, I need some birthday present tips for my girlfriend. She doesn't know what she'd want so that really doesn't make it any easier for me. I have given her a watch last year and a necklace once so no jewelry or any of that shit. Any suggestions?
Craft something yourself or plan out a nice trip to somewhere depending on what she likes. Not the "I'll treat you like a princess" bullshit, just a nice trip you two can enjoy together and a little "special" somewhere maybe.
in the ps2 video game "bully" by rockstar one of the photography missions involves you taking your black and white SLR camera into the ghetto and taking photos of either dogs or "hobos", as they yell at you for taking photos of them this describes accurately how street photography is taught in schools
