nah they did 36 agfa as well
o rly? missed that awesomeness didn't i
yeah the agfa was 36, which is why i was so overjoyed when i first found it in poundland, replacing the kodak stuff, but they quietly switched to 24 some time ago
In my country agfa 36 shots costs like 2,60 euro but they don't come by that often, depending on what city.
Also, just received 4 2CR5 batteries trough the mail for only 16 euro. I'm going to return this single 2CR5 I bought for 10 euro and swap it for some B&W film, most likely Ilford delta 3200.
if poundland don't bring it back i'll be ragin
i need cheap film
Start shooting Portra and a whole world opens for you.
[editline]14th September 2013[/editline]
Or just buy Fujicolor 200 (which agfa 200 basicly is) for cheap here: http://www.macodirect.de/fujicolor-c200-p-2469.html
That film for £1 with 36 exposures was almost too good to be true.

but it's not 6 rolls for £6 is it
We are already paying 2 gbp for that exact same roll you buy at poundland for 1 pound. Stop being a drama queen and suck it up you have to pay more for your film.
Because if you shoot analog for it being cheap I think you already know it isn't.

No :(

For the same price of a high end full frame body w/ 3 good lenses I could shoot 10,000+ rolls of poundland film (including my current body/lenses setup + processing), more than I could ever shoot in a lifetime.
Even if the 1 GBP rolls of poundland dissapear, so what?
If the rolls were 2GBP each it would still be very cheap shooting film.
I am not going to make the digital/analog argument because I shoot analog myself and you don't need to tell me that for as I already know that. Though it's not my main reason for shooting analog.
The next thing is just my opinion, so do what you want with it:
If you only shoot with cheap low end film you aren't getting the full potential out of your analog gear.
If it's good enough for you, fine. But you already say it yourself. You could buy more than you could shoot in a lifetime if you kept to the cheap film. Then why not try something like Ektar, Portra 160 of Portra 400? It's cheap enough to shoot many rolls of that as well.

with the cost of processing and scanning as it is, paying almost four times as much for similar images especially when we aren't exactly well off doesn't appeal to me too much. it's going to reduce the amount of film i shoot for sure, we'll have to wait and see the impact.
i mean, you aren't getting the full potential out of your digital gear because you don't buy the most expensive and fancy lenses available.

Yeah because paying 6gbp for a roll of Portra 160 is the instead of a 1gbp poundland agfafilm is the same as buying a 1000GBP lens instead of a 100gbp lens.
I know what you mean, but this isn't the same thing.
Oh well, I'll just leave it for what it is.
ive seen portra and ektar being sold for £12 a roll, the cheapest i've ever seen too - takes the piss
I can get ektar 100 for $5.50 a roll, so that's like £3.5?
I used to shoot cheap film but I've been trying to shoot my remaining stock and go with nicer films
The pound land agfa is mixed between 24 and 36 exposures in the same pile mainly 24 exposures.
I think my shop still sells it so if someone wants to get some through me send a PM
Someone took Jaanus's gif from Wembley and edited Mufasa and Scar into it

that £6 adds up very quickly.
I'm only on my first ever roll of film through a real camera (Maxxum 7000 as opposed to my toy TLR) and I'm shooting some Kodak B&W 400. I don't understand how you guys get away with iso 200 film when I can barely take a picture indoors faster than 1/30. Maybe I need to get out more. :v:
depends on the camera, some cameras have much better vibration damping for the mirror and shutter than others (e.g. olympus om-1 vs zenit ttl) which actually helps a lot
cant wait to get my Tamron tomorrow and start taking some pictures with it, maybe if UPS doesnt deliver hella late like they normally do (6:30PM-8:30PM) then I can take it to a football game at my school.
[editline]15th September 2013[/editline]

Ah, fine choice!
I am just glad I managed to snag one that was used (and then further discounted 20%) for $252 shipped, so I have $50 or so left over to either buy a new camera bag as my current one only fits a body and one small-mid sized lens or a spare battery.
Heh.
