Must be a strange feeling.
being forced to do a blog as part of my uni course - to document my views on my work, galleries i visit and other photog related things. was thinking of maybe doing a facepunch feature on it, possibly a weekly thing of photo's that have been posted that i'd like to say a few words about or possibly whole posts dedicated to a single user and their work. idk what do you guys think? like would anyone be game to let me use their work? its meant to incorporate work that we like/inspires us and a lot of the work that some guys on here have produced has influenced me a lot. I did this sort of thing the other year with some of steves work and it worked quite well for my project.
Finally quit being lazy and filled out a photographer application for my school newspaper. Talked to the photo editor and she showed me all of the equipment they have. Not too bad, I forgot what bodies they use but lenses are a lot nicer than what i have. Couple of 70-200 2.8s, wide angles, and a 300mm. already got my first assignment this friday to shoot swim and dive  Finally getting back into shooting sports again!
Shooting sports is pretty fun, even when you have to shoot night-time football with ISO 1600 and f/5.6 :v:

Last night I discovered a real easy modification for the pop-up flash of my SLRs. TP roll cut in half, yup that's it!! No tape or other contraptions required, just shove it over your flash and done! God shooting a wedding wa so stressful, I start sweating when I even think about that day. Was the second I ever did and suddenly I was driving the bride to the church, helping here and there and even doing the goddamn catering for a bit. I thaught I completely blew but now upon inspection I got some spectacular "situation" pictures holy fuck I am so damn reliefed. Luv ya all you mofos.
i'm shooting a wedding next weekend, i'm nervous too just seems like a LOT of pressure n stuff doesn't help that it starts around 6:30 aka when it's like completely dark :/
Get a time table. Get the pair to get everyone together for the group picture and tell them BEFORE the day starts. It was such a hassle for me. If you want naturals, tell people the shot is done, wait a sec and THEN shoot. Best portraits are those where people don't look into the fucking camera.
i shot a wedding a week or so ago, still editing through images omg so draining 2 many pics

If anyone in your working life offers you more responsibility without a pay rise they are taking you for a ride. [editline]14th October 2013[/editline] I took photos at an 18th on Friday night, the worst part was coming home and recognising the girl I got with in the dark (who looked alright at the time) was yuk.

Got paid and he is a layer and helped a friend of mine fighting for the right to see bis kid for free. Additionally their house was flooded 1.75m high for 5 days 2 weeks after the had a baby this summer. I was happy to help, the stress was awful but it's the good kind of stress. Edit: Fucking smarthphone autocorrect
does anyone know of a moderately priced mail-in scan service for 120 film? looking for something nearer to drum-scan quality. E.g. hasselblad flextight or the like

i've been watching a ton of breaking bad lately why does new mexico look so much more desolate than AZ, i don't understand i thought we had more desolate deserts
breaking bad <3 all shot on film yano, each episode cost about $3million to make. [editline]15th October 2013[/editline] also, Leeds Poundland stocks AGFA film in 36exp rolls... oh balls am I a happy bunny
Didn't know it was film, makes sense now. The colors and shots are all so crisp, I really like the cinematography.

Ditto, if you want to, for some reason.
cheers everyone for giving me access to your works, I'll probably slowly work my way through everyone week by week - kinda like a rolling fp exhibit + a way for me to work on my expressive language
Finally going home this weekend and debating whether or not I should bring my camera back with me.
