would definitely recommend!
we did it at strathallan, and i think if you do it through them then what we did costs £160 (one day course, followed by a solo static line jump), then each jump after that is £37. if you do all your static line jumps right, the 6th one can be a free fall
all the people who are there are very friendly as well
How many jumps in total did you do?
only managed to do the very first one today, there were quite a lot of other students there, and a few tandems as well, and the plane only fits 4 people at a time
depending on the weather and the number of people there, it could be either one jump or a few, or if the weather is really bad some groups before ours did the training but couldn't do the jump the same weekend
Job interview at local photo lab corporate office tomorrow!!! :O
Gonna get me a full time job, working to midnight every day, with a class at 8am every mon and wed! :downs:
But if I get this job... DAMN... that's my foot in the doorway for a career in photography!
That's my beloved D90 shipped off to the Ebay buyer. I was talking to the guy and he's buying it for his daughter who has aspirations to become a photographer. The buyer already has a D700 so I guess that means it's gone to a buyer who know's how to take good care of it.
I'm thankful it's not just going to be resold in an ebay camera business.
Still waiting for the silver X-E2 to come back in stock so it gets sent to me.
Next purchase: 18mm f/2.
Waiting for things to come back into stock feel like they always take a eternity.
My A7 order is still being held because the A7 + 28-70 kitlens for my friend isn't in stock yet. Hoping to receive everything this friday
It's just a few days but it feels like forever.

I know how you feel, the shipping of my a77 felt like a lifetime
When it's so expensive it seems like it should just be there already
As I left for Sweden to start at a uni, I went with little packing, and did not take my camera. Because I thought I'd make a quick return to Finland within the first weeks.
It's been 3 months without my camera now, and I've missed all the sexy autumn photo opportunities q_q
This sucks balls.
i'm considering a switch to the 6D, saving up and shit, or a blackmagic compact camera.
That Blackmagic camera looks great, I actually had never heard of it.
Looks like it has the same benefits of the 6D/D610 for video but sits in a much smaller package, way more convenient.

You could buy a cheap film camera.

raw video and stupid high dynamic range in a camera half the price of a 6D and a better image? sign me up. only issue is the super16 sized sensor, which basically means a whole new lens purchase time for me.

yeah the sensor is pretty small, but still has a great image quality.
also apparently the Sony RX10 is supposed to be incredible for video, it has a constant aperture 24-200mm equiv f2.8 zoom with stabilization, built in ND filter, aperture can switch from stepped to stepless, mic and headphone jacks, EVF and swivel screen, and no line skipping in video (so the picture is 5k downsampled to 1080p). Great all in one package that would be perfect for docu type stuff
looks pretty nice, but i'd still go for a real camera like an xf105 over it like for the XLRs
I got the job at the photo lab!
I'm going to be working in the metal shop, where they make metallic prints!

You can get an adapter for XLR's on it, sony makes one but it's mad expensive
i am working on my cargo page, lots left to do.

finding a unique theme for each project is tough
[editline]27th November 2013[/editline]
can i get your guy's urls too?
i want to follow your pages.

oh btw i just found out that the lab im working for was one of the first to do metal prints!
cool!
dreamt i was walking in the mountains. then i suddenly glimpse at some of the mountains and the sun shines a perfect light and makes an awesome photo opportunity. then i thought i needed to get my camera, then i woke up. even my dreams are abandoning me..

enjoy my friends. Also jacob, the design of your cargo needs a lot of work. The gothic font style and black background just don't look that nice. And your dual feed thing is a good idea but it clips the far right of the images on my display (I'm running 16:9 1366x768).

Porter's title doesn't seem to display properly for me (i.e. at all) although I can see it at the bottom.
I may have deleted it. :v:
I am away from my computer, but as soon as I get to the hotel I'm gonna get back to working on it. I think I'm going to remove porter and silhouettes, and replace them with projects like portraits, landscapes, ect.
Y are stogs so much bomber when iм faded ¿

I just pulled out of my parking spot to leave for Trogdon's for thanksgiving, and made a split second error (turned a little too soon) and now my vehicle is disabled (the wheel well is like caved in and plastic+metal is forced against the tire). Such a mindfuck to have plans like that canceled on something so immediate and small, especially the moment of departure. It wasn't even that large of a collision. Our transportation world is very fragile.
