I was deleting my old pictures. Have you ever lensed so hard you went to f/57?
Heh, my Canon 65mm MP-E macro lens + 2x teleconverter goes down to f/160 [editline]9th January 2014[/editline] Though the camera doesn't display it that way.

Are there any rules against making a for sale thread for all of us to post gear that is for sale?
We use the gear discussion thread for that
I know we do but sometimes it would get overlooked, and I think it would be nice to seperate it from normal gear discussion.
Gear discussion is probably the fastest moving thread in the photography section, so maybe it would be best if it wasn't crowded. Letting people know that you have the odd thing to sell there is fine, but if you're trying to flog a lot of items, maybe it could be useful having a sales thread? I don't know tbh
Spent last weekend trying to get some of my more "Personal" work up on my walls. Thought i'd have enough content to fill six frames but only managed to fill two. i'm game for a sales thread, but after the previous perversions in H&S involving swefox and shit, we need it regulated in some way
and mufc2007 or whatever their name was
and mufc2007 or whatever their name was
I still use the win 7 ult key he gave me, outstanding guy
i still use the sidewinder x6 he sent me
Wasn't his con to sell a bunch of stuff to gain everyone's trust and then get one big order and run with the cash?
Wasn't his con to sell a bunch of stuff to gain everyone's trust and then get one big order and run with the cash?
He had a Microsoft developer account so he gave out a bunch of keys, then he started a small shop with a mod selling Microsoft stuff, then he had the big apple half off thing and by then everyone (even the mod guy he partnered with) thought he was legit so they all invested hoping to resell and he just ran off. Made out with like $100k+ iirc
so if a 35mm is too long on DX are we back to the sigma 30mm f/1.4? it's at the exact top of my price bracket [editline]9th January 2014[/editline] meant to go in gear thread but w/e
im not really digging the pics im taking with my new camera...so i bought the adapter to use my minolta lenses hopefully some new glass will help me get kickstarted
just kidding sticking with the 35mm f/1.8g since I will only be paying like $165 for a new one and then still not sure if I should buy stuff like tripod/bag or another cheap lens like a 50 which would be a good portrait/studio lens on DX or a flash unit advice appreciated I know I think about gear too much sorry
I love airports. If I'm flying on my own, I usually literally turn up a few hours before I need to head through immigration. Departure lounges are fascinating, beautiful, sad places. I feel emotions there that I very rarely feel any other time. A lot of empathy felt and solidarity with my fellow travellers. [editline]8th January 2014[/editline] Also, I guess I'll drop this in now. A few pages back around the festive period, a couple of you mentioned you'd chip in for me to buy myself an external hard drive for Christmas. I really can't say thank you enough. I promise I will show my appreciation by posting a bunch of the mountain of content I have backed up ready to go - after I get a hard drive to clear up my computer and start editing. my paypal account e-mail is edwin.quast@gmail.com I promise to only spend it towards a hard drive and not on drugs, weed and grog.
MASSIVE LOVE to those who've sent me a bit of currency. I will write to you personally soon :)
o man, I got my Fujifilm X100s a day early! Its so nice to own one and not have to rely on rental. The only problem is that my B+W 49mm filter that goes on an adaptor allowing a lens hood doesn't seem to screw on right, can't understand why, half a turn and its nearly on 'tight' but its not. As I had said to roll I was going to opt for an XE-2, 18mm & 35mm but decided that the £300+ extra I would spend on it over an X100s would better go towards getting out with the camera, holidays and such!
I'm currently thinking of getting a Fujifilm X100, do you guys think its still a good camera?
I'm currently thinking of getting a Fujifilm X100, do you guys think its still a good camera?
It depends what you are used to. Its not really responsive in general from what I have read at its release, compared to DSLRs which is what most people who bought or tried it were used to. I read that the firmware updates have improved it a lot. I went with the X100s because it was what I was used to with renting it out. Had DigitalRev not saved me nearly £300 over the UK price for the X100s I would have bought a used X100, because spending all the money on the camera and leaving little for transport or travel is not a wise idea in my book. I figure the filter is on tight, lens hood bought separately. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/h4x3LwU.jpg[/img_thumb]
