It's just another tool. It's more about [i]how[/i] you use it that makes it either cheating or 'cool'.
its just like vscocam for camera raw / lightroom. my buddy sent me a few of the profiles but i find that almost all of them are too dramatic, particularly with film grain, and i have to undo some of that shit for it to not look ~hipstamatic~ if you know what i mean. nothing you couldn't get with some time behind curves, filters and the like, in my opinion.

Today I went to the dark room to develop 3 rolls of Tri-X. Spooling the first roll was ez-pz and the 2nd was done by a teacher because I wasn't confident enough yet to do them all myself. Spooling the third roll was a disaster and I had to re-do that.
Then I totally forgot the ratio of the stopper and fixer chemicals so I just did a guesstimate. After 15 minutes of developing/stopping/fixing finally that moment of truth; all came out great.
It just sucks I can't scan these untill Friday.
spoke to the lecturer, he didn't have a clue if i could book out the mf cameras in first year for my own use, but said i could just chance it for a day or two and he was even like you could work it up towards a week long booking :v:

replace them when they're soggy and obviously not going to help anymore.

got my PC build working! i am seriously so happy right now, after no desktop for 2 years i built a beast of a computer by myself!

definitely will! i'm using the 24in 1920x1200 monitor that was in the hall for now, my photos are so huge it's awesome! i think the color balance is a bit off though, all my photos look more saturated than on my laptop

when i was in kindergarten i made a boat out of wood and glue and while I was at school one day my cat shoved it off the kitchen counter and ruined it

well, i've already decided to get a new lens if i can't repair this one. however, if i can manage to repair this one, in the end, i'm gonna be like, "cool, i just saved like $100, and learned how to repair a lens."
True the experience is always usefull but if all fails and you want a new 50mm some people sell the MkII dirty cheap 2nd hand. I've seen some go for 15$
