You could take your Nex because it's tiny and take pictures of people you meet in the gym (asking them, of course). You could do you 365 and get some nice snapshots to put up around the gym.
that's actually a wicked idea, i'll mull it over but no promises because i'm really bad at photographing people i don't know well.

The staff would take pictures of regulars or interesting people with disposables and stick up the prints around noticeboards. Really friendly.
i wanna make a miniature camera that looks just like a gun or atleast enough to fool the random public and then i want to walk the streets and shoot at random people with it - never telling them it's not a gun but then i also dont want to be gunned down by the police
but then i also dont want to be gunned down by the police
avoid doing this in america then
One of our family-friend's employees found this chihuahua running around in the snow behind his manufacturing plant without a collar. No RFID either. My dad said he'd take care of him until the owner comes looking. He's got a super friendly temperament and isn't yappy or anything. Get's along amazingly with our jack russel. Loves to climb all over people. so some fucking bastard punted in our kitchen window and made off with my flatmates xbox. it’s not the xbox we’re worried about - it wasn’t worth much but it's made me feel unsafe in my own flat even in my own room and it’s fucking terrifying feeling like you need to sleep with your valuables taped to you. it’s not even like our laptops are insured - endsleigh are cheap, exploiting arseholes and will insure everything but them. the one thing we need to keep safe and they try to fuck us on it. i feel ripped off and cheated by the university as well who came to our door and told us it was our own fault for having an xbox in the flat. fucking disgusting. so angry. can't sleep. 9:30am lecture. sorry.
mate that's fucking shite
i'm 18 in two days now i don't want to be an adult.
so apparently last night when the snowplow guy plowed the driveway the plow dug into the dirt and tore the phone/tv/internet cable we had so when the fios guys came to repair it one convinced my mom to upgrade to fios quantum and the guy gave me a free wifi booster router in my room and gave us a new main router that we arent even supposed to use unless we pay a ton of money for a faster monthly service [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline] and now I can ethernet my laptop while sitting in bed since the router is basically under my bed and [del]browse porn[/del] load photography websites faster [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline] and on another note trogs 50mm f/2 i bought is supposed to be coming tomorrow wow now I feel like a dick for talking about how great im doing right after codenamecueball is going through some scary shit
dont man fibre is the dream. just had an emergency joiner round, fuckin hell i won't sleep
Started work at the gym today, 7.5 hours standing in one spot is a bit frustrating but I'm moving to my own desk soon so that will be cool. My photo editing job is going well too, my boss wants to meet soon which would be awesome! And I sold the mino 100mm for $130 which was cool. Overall I see a bit of dish in my future

Tbh it's not the university's fault much as it isn't yours. I've been in the same situation, had about £5k of stuff nicked once and they took lots of random stuff through opportunity, like my backpack and laser pens. I felt insecure knowing they were in my home and not knowing where they went or exactly what they touched or did while in the flat. They knew exactly when me and my flatmate were both out of the country since there was 1 evening when we both wouldn't have been home. They must have stalked us online or known someone we both knew to find this out, making me feel even more insecure. Police said they looked like pros from how the scene was left and how they broke the window, not a crime of opportunity. Edited: Crazy part my flatmates bed was covered in all our stuff. They had laid everything out to decide what was worth taking the most.
I am so paranoid of getting robbed/burglarized/mugged.
Someone stole my bike once. It's racist to say out loud, but we all know it's the immigrants. They keep taking our bikes and repainting them. :v: Otherwise, this is a tiny village in the mountains of Northern Norway, so not much happens here.
I am so paranoid of getting robbed/burglarized/mugged.
Buy a gun?
Tbh it's not the university's fault much as it isn't yours.
it's more they cheap out on contents insurance whilst we pay out the fucking arse for the flat, then when the security turn up they bloody start to blame us for owning an xbox, as if we deserved to get it nicked?!
I thought it was Endsleigh. Heh.
Words
That sucks man, maybe try and have everyone pitch in for some DIY security system? If the uni isn't doing jack shit then you have to do it yourself. Get some cheap USB security camera and set them up in hidden spots. Also, most of the burglaries are commited by someone who knows there are valuables. It's odd only an Xbox was stolen when the burglars had free play for a moment. Most burglars don't throw in a random student apartment's window without knowing if there are any good lootings. In other words it could've been done by someone you or your flatmates know. [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline]
Someone stole my bike once.
I've had 2 bikes stolen :(( But I'm pretty sure both are stolen by welfare leeching babyboomers, most immigrants here either do shoplifting (Eastern-Europe) or drug dealing (North-Afrika) but then again both are also into pimping in Amsterdam.
I thought it was Endsleigh. Heh.
it is - it doesn't cover a lot [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline]
That sucks man, maybe try and have everyone pitch in for some DIY security system?
we're certainly entertaining the possiblity. they knew for certain how to get the window done in so it could be an ex resident or something. defo considering some form of cctv, i know people who specialise in systems so i can get old gear cheap.

Good idea to not post travel plans on social media if the house is going to be completely abandoned.
okay, apparantly the guy came through the front door and tried all our rooms and since the kitchen doesn't lock, he went in, took the xbox and forced the window open to leave - which means he left a lot of fingerprints and is on multiple CCTV cameras
Get hold of the footage and post it here. The internet will do a better job of finding him than the police or your Uni :P
