Knowing halls it was probs some drunk guy.
Get hold of the footage and post it here. The internet will do a better job of finding him than the police or your Uni :P
gonna give it a go under the guise of "he might be a napier student" [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline] in other, happier news. this is me with my new 35mm f/2. i get the 6D tomorrow so for now it's a preliminary selfie
What I said is true, but I wasn't being completely serious.
my family's farmhouse in india got burgled back in like the 40s-50s, they took about ~2000 rupees worth of stuff (in 50s rupees, mostly as gold and jewery cos rural family + no banks close by so)
if I stack a few filters on my lens and then use a reverse lens macro adapter will the filters function as like extension tubes and magnify more or less?
sounds like they would
after much testing i have concluded that stacking filters does nothing. maybe it does if you have like 10 filters but idk
well actually its already a fairly close up to start with.
im pretty satisfied with my current equipment lineup now. The only thing I want more is a wide angle and then I can ditch the kit lens. [t]http://puu.sh/6vFrt[/t] although I need to buy another lens rear cap which is only $3. conveniently the random thin cap that I found in the box with the 50mm f/2 i bought from trog (which is fantastic) fits perfectly on my macro reverse ring which is currently on my 24mm f/2.8d as a mini hood/front protector.
don't ditch the kit-lens it's a great replacement if you happen to break one of your wide angle lenses, or just for those alcoholic parties when you don't want to risk expensive gear.
plus how can you do kit lens macro landscape portrait photography without it [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline] it's the defining feature of the genre
don't ditch the kit-lens it's a great replacement if you happen to break one of your wide angle lenses, or just for those alcoholic parties when you don't want to risk expensive gear.
i mean I wouldnt just get rid of it but I wouldnt really have to carry it around with me everywhere or I could just get a constant 2.8 kit lens replacement idk yet. [sp]also please be mindful with your use of the word "alcoholic" :c[/sp]
Yeah I had no idea what that thing was I figured I'd toss it in anyway
Hey man, you should get uploading and/or taking more shots, you've got all this gear but not really anything to look at, you feel me? There's nothing wrong with getting lots of lenses if you can, I wish I could! But you gotta appreciate and utilize what you've got to the fullest potential, otherwise what's the point? I use my kit lens for a year on my Pentax K-r, and for 4 years before that the old kit pentax lens on the *ist DL (old old DSLR). What I'm trying to say is go out and shoot more with this awesome array of lenses you've got man! I, and I'm sure others, are waiting to see what you can produce so we can crit and enjoy those photos!
i wanted to say something along these lines as well, but somehow ended up with the terrible post at the top of the page instead v:downs:v
I had one lens for all of last year and before that I had a 50 1.4 and 10-20mm f4-5.6 for about 3 years. Kit lens before that for about 2 years.

Get some good glass. I'm serious. I've had a bad quality lens, and it was terrible, but it was NEW. So I got a 50mm Super Takumar f1.4 for $10 (guy freaked out because I showed him it was radioactive. hehehehe). Lens was in great shape, lens has NO FLAWS whatsoever and is still my best lens for night time photography.

i barely use eBay, so does it look bad on you if you back out of an auction? i'm the highest bidder at the moment, but of course, i lost my job, and if i can't get it back, i need to save my money for rent and what not. is there even a way to back out of an auction?
Just message the seller, they will probably be cool with it if they are worth their salt. But I imagine the bids will go up with that much time left, you should be okay.
