Hmm it's $7 to buy 500 Instagram followers I'm tempted to do it because that's like pretty cheap
"Time and place seem more critical than plot or story". I like this quote, you can loosely apply it to the kind of portraits I like where the environment and surroundings matter just as much as the subject. It's also making me think about how a lot of my favorite movies concentrate on atmosphere over plot and story. [editline]11th March 2014[/editline] My automerge. why

because i would look so much more hip like i got all these followers and i hardly follow anyone probably not a very useful thing but it's like $7
It would be worth 7 bucks if they randomly commented on your recent uploads saying generic things like "wow amazing shot" to make you look pro at phone camera .
I have 306 followers on instagram. Half of which are dead accounts of people who've signed up but never used the service. Most of which are people that I know. I think I had a pretty good stream when I was shooting a lot, but I never hashtagged, yo. Not a followers whore.
i mean i don't hashtag either and a lot of my followers never interact with my stuff, i just think it would look cool if i had a lot of followers and i didn't follow many people or hashtag my stuff then people would think i was really cool or something i'm sure i'm overthinking this and it's probably a stupid idea but numbers :O
dont do it austin!!
trogbon please do not
do it
btw who is the dude on ur facebook who thinks we should look to the bible for how to be manly he seems very fond of wearing camo
Something clicked in my mind and I think I'm starting to learn how to edit well enough to get to the vision I had in my mind of how I want the photograph to turn out. I think having what seems like a good 3 more stops of dynamic range helps, so much more detail in highlights. [editline]11th March 2014[/editline] Yeah the D90 had about 8 stops of usable DR before things got messy, the X-E2 has just under 13.
i had a similar moment after getting lightroom and a 6d, i feel like i'm at a point where i can sort of imagine what i want the edited photo to look like as i take it, and i can finally edit well enough to be able to make that happen [editline]11th March 2014[/editline] on an unrelated note, i think i'm gonna go for a cycle again from town to erskine bridge, didn't bring a tripod with me the last time i went there at night and really regret it [editline]11th March 2014[/editline] (if i don't post again in the next couple of days i've probably drowned in the canal because i can't swim, so maybe someone should call the police at that point)

I'd steer clear.

My day's family is very religious hence why I don't post much of anything on Facebook because they'd get offended a lot [QUOTE=Pickwickian-;44206075]If this is the case, that's just ego - which as good a driving force as it can be, for something like this... I really like making prints in the dark room at school It's orginized, yet fluid. A lot of guess work and "that'll probably work"
not rly the right subforum to ask but close enough does anyone know if there is a way in final cut pro 7 to make like a news program style video? like the ticker feed on the bottom while 2 little screens show different people talking or something like that? or is that like after effects or something
For those of you in the UK, just came across this on iPlayer: [url]http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03xsjb9/photographing-africa[/url] I haven't seen it yet, but will defo be watching it over the next few days.
It's really nerve racking posting images in the creative photography thread because i feel really amateur compared to a lot of the people here like desuh, bopie, zeemlapje and trogdon especially since i'm really new to the whole editing thing
it's all about learning
Never be afraid to post! Everyone has to start somewhere, and you will get better if you are dedicated.
Lesson of the evening: don't go poking round in marshes in the middle of the night and expect your feet to somehow still stay dry

Just post and hope for the best. Even sometimes I post stuff that's I'm not 100% about or doesn't get a warm reception. The more you throw out there the less scary it gets.
