I've been throwing tracks together left and right lately, but I just can't be bothered to finish most of them. Here's some recent WIP shit though.

Oh shit these are great. I would love to hear them finished. Super swingy and crisp all around.
I started with the idea of making some drum&bass, I didn't want to use a sample for the drums so I started fiddling with some of my own, it turned out to become something more funk/jazzy.

Loving the funk on this one. Really liked the mix on the bass & kick drum, but some of the other percussion sounded a little quiet. Not too eventful but it's got potential for progression. (good drumwork too)

I just finished a remix of holocene by bon iver

Gr8 work yo. Pleasant structure and a really clean mix. I don't really have much to say for improvements.

Made a beat with an organ and some glitchy stuffs. Might expand on it later
Very abstract sounding. I can somewhat hear a rhythm bouncing through it, but I thought it was still a little hard to tell what was going on in terms of the beat. I think the drums were OK, but they needed just a little more backbone to flesh out the groove (the speak & spell was a nice touch, too). I liked the Organ samples but I didn't think the way the chords progressed fit the aesthetic the drums were going for.

My microphone finally shipped in and I went pretty crazy recording every sound I could. Plan on cleaning this one up and expanding some more.

Sry for huge post
Good useage of sampling, comes out really mellow and chill mate! I need to learn how to sample...I have been literally only using Nexus and default sounds in Fl studio, feels like cheating...
Nothing wrong with using default sounds, the important thing is that it sounds good, both tonally and in context with all the other instruments.
Au-1The first track reminds me a LOT of a band called Min Stora Sorg I had the pleasure of being a sound&light guy for, a female voice singing on top of this would be really sweet. Either someone with a very frail highpitched voice, or someone in the like of Lady Gaga with her deep warm voice.
It all sounds very nice and you have a good mix of both very dark and boomy bass and treble, very good choice making the kick drum clicky and the snare the way it is, gels together very well!
SweatstormThe second track picks up where the first track ends, there's something about it though that I just can't put my finger on, something feels odd. Could be the mixing or could be me not in the mood for electronic music and screechy synths, I don't know. I think what you have going in the first track is borderline perfect and making it longer would be really cool!
NimbusThird has a similar problem, although this sounds like a combination of first and second track so it is definietly an improvement. Still, screechy synths I don't like :<
Here's a new rework on the track I've posted earlier, with new bass (two separate takes, both panned left/right) and some more variations to the drums. They beat the same pattern, but I've tweaked in more ghost notes and even the kick does it too!
Oh, and new guitar :v:

Tention is sick, I like the lead synth (including the melody & rhythm of it) you started using at 1:17 a lot. Everything progresses nicely too, you could probably make the song more than twice as long as it is and it still wouldn't get boring, with all the different sounds coming in and changing every now and then. The only thing I don't really like about the track is the evil laugh sounds, 'cause I always though evil laughs were corny, but that's just me. Did you record the melodic instruments or just the percussion and other stuff? Sometimes I look around my house for shit to make sounds out of, but I can never think of anything to use for melodic instruments and I just end up with a bunch of rattling sounds and shit.
Th02 Stampit is good as fuck, I liked the drums right off the bat. Then as soon as shit changes at 0:43 it just gets fucking perfect, the bass sounds a lot cleaner and the synth that starts there is sick. The bass kind of eats shit on the lower notes in the intro though.
Iland QRep is nice and calm as hell, the way the lead synth thing clicks bothers the shit outta me though.
I don't really like the other 2 so much, only out of my taste though, I don't think there's anything wrong with them.

All the percussion was recorded, and yes I did try to incorporate some melodic recordings. The bells & bass in the intro were both recorded from metal thermoses ringing-- and the bass at 1:47 was a rubber band strum. And yeah the laugh was just some Halloween toy that I decided to sample to see how it turned out. Not going to use it for the final version for sure lol. Thanks for the feedback!

I feel tha funk! This would probably be quite bearable if there was no verb on the kick lol. I don't know why but even the subtlest of reverb on a kick drum can ruin entire mixes for me. The fact that you are just blasting the kick through that verb might as well be taunting me at this point. :v:

I'm acting as a producer on a song by a local girl. It's almost finished, but minor tweaks are left.

We're like fire & ice on that then :D I love myself some reverb on the kick, I've now dialed back it a bit though since it was quite noticeable on my headphones. Here it is now, a more finalized product (posted it on my facebook page for me as an artist and my own personal)

I really like the vocoder or what it is that you use on your voice, I think it would be really fucking cool to use it to build chords with it AND even use it for singing. A more regular beat would probably fit it better the way it is now, with a regular kick, snare, kickSnare type of beat. With the kick on 1, snare on 2, kick on 3½ and then snare on the 4.
Looking forward to your album too, going to be solid as hell! :)
Thanks u guise :))

I dig this as well, the chords give a really nice lead-in to the drop. Quite a nice groove you've got going on there, and nothing wrong with a proper bass groove!
I started a new track last night and after waking up today I decided to drink a lot of coffee and plug in my guitar. Just an early wip-preview thingy for now :v:

The composition is neat, but it's clipping. Lower the master a bit maybe. Or it's some kind of clipping music genre, not aware here.
Did some dirt work on my mix. Added the master. The vocals were recorded today, but are still in works, and might come up next update.
I really like the reverb here, tho I know there's a lot of it :P

I think the bass is great and the warmth of sounds is fantastic. I think the rythm is good and has a nice flow to it. Can't wait to hear the vocals :) Maybe it's me but the drums and guitar sound a little quiet, not sure though.
I'm kind of in over my head here, I'm trying complextro/dubstep and it's getting difficult to keep my head above water and see my track. I feel like it might be a little to complex but I would appreciate any help on this WIP especially from other hard dance creators.
This is only Drop 1 and Drop 2 no buildup or anything else. Thats what i'm focusing on atm.

It's.. hm. I can't really put my finger on what's wrong with it - I think some of the synths don't particularly compliment eachother, and there's not much in terms of rythm. The synths should add to the rhythm, not be desperately trying to keep up with it - and the composition seems a little all over the place, quite random (but not in the good complextro way if you catch my drift).
Worked a bit more on that neuro-trap-whatever thing but I can't decide whether it has potential/I like it

I actually did most of this song about 6 months ago when I still used synths (I've moved almost entirely to sampling now), and I don't remember why, but I just sort of dropped it. Yesterday when I came home from work I decided for whatever reason to finish it. Interesting fact: The main melody is actually what happened when I took the other main sound from the synth out of the playlist. Why? Because BioHazard is fucking strange.

This is cool. Love the vapor-like keys....and actually can't believe I said that because I normally don't enjoy anything closed to vapor. But this good. Triphop Gods are proud now.
ps. Your tune 'Ten' is now my fav thing ever.
Here's is a finished version of the song I've been posting. We've contacted many people for reviews before posting, and all said it's good...well, one lady disliked it. I know the vocals* need a bit of work, but the dude did his best...so did we (first time mixing ever)
