I've been stressed out today over major life decisions and problems, and so my brain excreted the following craziness:

I think the clicks are kind of annoying, but other than that it's pretty much fine. I like that break at 1:20, it would have been nice to hear more of that.

Nothing final at all.
The guitar is so much louder than everything else, I can hardly hear anything over it.
The bass sounds way too dry, and the drums are way too low in the mix. Kinda boring progression too, but maybe that's part of the style as I dunno much about the genre.
Jazz version of teardrop by massive attack. Using the original vox as a placeholder but I'll record it with my singer at some point soon!
Something about the open hat (the one you can hear at 0:05) sounds out of place to me, the rest sounds nice though, especially when the drums start to pick up around 1:15. Also, I'm not sure whether or not it was intentional, but I wouldn't have recognized the song if you didn't mention that it was a cover of Teardrop.

Qk-1 could use some more low end. I think that would make it alot better.
Place to sleep has a nice melody but the beat kinda gets tireing after a while. might wanna make it more relentless if you know what i mean.

Fantastic textures, though I wish it wasn't all muted sounding. I know you were going for a autechre sound, so it's not that much of a problem. Also, it didn't really go anywhere, but that's okay. It sounds like you were just fucking around for a bit. Fun piece!

OKAY, so I'm gonna be a bit vulnerable with you peeps. So, my friend and I started this joke rap project after we attempted multiple times to sound like MC Ride. The group is called LAND BEFORE RHYMES. We wanted to make some rap music that no one would ever produce, so here it is. This is a joke, mind you, but tell me what you think. There's a couple of other songs on the soundcloud page if you want to check them out. Most of the lyrical content is inside jokes.

The drums don't seem to come through the mix very well, the kick feels kind of weak. I'm not familiar with the genre but I'm liking it so far. Just some mixing problems, maybe sidechain a bit more?
This is the first song I ever made technically from scratch, it isn't perfect and this was ages ago (I've since made more stuff) but I went back through it and just tried to get the mix a little better. Mainly need feedback on the mix. So I can refine my future projects that use the same kind of stuff.

As others have mentioned, the drums doesn't come through at all, my guess is probably because your digeridoo-soundalike is dominating the whole lower register. You could probably get the drums through if you either cut some of the bass frequencies (cut everything below 60hz, take off about 5-7db from 120 to 200) and decided whether you want a big booming kick or a more clickety one. The snare needs to get its own spot as well, I think either a very mid-frequency one could sound good (have it dominate around 1khz) or one that has a very high ringing tone to it, akin to the one they use in the track St. Anger by Metallica, but with a higher overtone.

I love how the intro says completely evil doom metal, then the break before the song really starts says killer clowns from outer space until it becomes sort of MF Doom!
The track is incredibly bass heavy and I'm not sure if it should, because the bass sounds extremely muddy and not the sort of booming bass you'd want.
I think cutting the lower frequencies at whatever note is played in the first bar of the vocal part could make a lot to get the bass to be less muddy, maybe even doubletrack it with a 3xosc saw bass?
I really like the drums and it is such a shame they don't sit more neatly in the mix, the crash has a very nice clarity to itself and the tom or whatever is being played should come forth more, maybe cut some low on it and bring forth the frequency that is the 'attack' could make it sound really nice.
The accordion really adds a cool vibe to the track, I'm not sure what the other rhythm instrument is (sounds a bit like a guitar-piano thing?) but it sits nice in the mix.
Vocals are really sweet, whoever is spitting them out has a very nice timbre to his voice! Is it octaved down or is that a natural voice? :)
I think the biggest issue with this track is how much bass there is, and barely any upper mid/Treble.
You've got a very nice thing going with Land Before Rhyme (and good god is that a nice name!) and I would love to hear more. Excellent work on the composition and arrangement!!

I think the drums seems just too hectic right now, probably because of the glitching sound, if it is possible you should try and find whatever frequency that is, and bring the snare's Pop (the 3-5khz) and the cymbals (probably around 6khz and upwards) out more, the kick has a nice thump to it and shouldn't be changed.
The cello sounds strange when soloed, together with the drums it sounds slick though! A violin/Viola combo on top of that (either melody or chords, or both?) would make it a very nice production I think!

I love the organ you're using, and sample is sweet! The distorted bass is fucking sexy as a top model too, and I love how the hihat has an almost phased sound to it!
And good god, that buildup? Fucking sexy as fuck!!
Damn son, this is catchy as hell! There's something lacking though, I''m thinking a choir of AAaaahs (could be actual voices or just a synth with that sort of sound) combined together with what you have right now could really make shit awesome as hell!
You've filled up the track really nice with the lower registers and the mid, now all you need is that treble I think :) At least for some parts.
It really has a nice progression and structure, great work mate!

That's a very heavy sub you've got going mate! I'm sitting on some smaller monitors so I can't really feel it, but I bet it sounds pretty damn thick and juicy when played in a club!
This track I could definietly envision a girl singing over it, or maybe not singing words, but going hEeeeyyeeeah and stuff like that, you follow? It really has that sort of feel to it at least!
Whatever genre this is, I love it.
Another thing that probably help with the buildup is a sweep of the bass, have an EQ automate a highpass that slowly lets more and more bass through, until the drop there at the minute mark.
I think that could make it pop out a lot more and make the introduction of the bass really punch the listener!

I haven't listened to the original track, whatever you've done with it is nice though! The vocal addition of the main part near the melody I think could actually be part of the first main part too, it takes way too long for that sweet thing to come into the track in my opinion!
I love the "aaaaaah" that sweeps in every now and then during the main part, I think you could have that be in the second main part as well!
(For clarification, the first main part starts there around 0:16 for me and ends at 1:04, second starts at 1:36)
I hope it is understandable what I'm trying to communicate? :)

Also really like this one. Cool mix of different styles, the contrast between concise beats and bass and echo-y synths is sweet.
This is a track I've been working on for a few days. I think at the end of the buildup/where the distorted guitars come in, I might split it into 2 separate songs, but they'll sound the same as they currently do. Still need vox but I'm working on that.

I really like that quick and arpeggio'd synth that keeps on rolling through the whole track, how did you do it?
The buildup is really nice as well, I think you do it on a lot of tracks and it works extremely well!
You know, I think that it could add more tension to that drop if you had the arpeggio'd synth not play during that first segment starting at 1:06, maybe have it slowly but surely highpass itself out of existance on that first buildup?
Starting at 0:45 when the drums enter you could probably have the arpeggio synth go highpass slowly, so that when it kicks into the main section at 1:06 it's gone, and then at the drop near 1:30 it would enter.
I think that could add even more punch to the drop, y'know?
I would probably take it down a few notches in volume during the 1:50 segment, to make it seem even more punchy at second main part :)
I like the break, I think if you were to cut the arpeggio synth from existance at 3:19 mark, and have it slowly build up (maybe lowpass it starting at 3:42 buildup?) could make this track a real beauty, because the framework is bloody marvelous right now!

I could try that! I'm getting rather bored with the track, mostly because I've no idea what the fuck to do with it and because the sounds just aren't cutting it... I guess I'll put it on hold for the future. :)
Your guitar sound really beautiful! The bass, I assume is computerized? It could probably do with some growl to it, as for vocals? Really, really nice! Great warmth and force behind it!
The strings that lies in the background are so damn fine, hot shit that's a well-produced sound!
I think a piano laying down some chords when the vocals, drums & bass is alone, they don't have to be very audible, just enough that it doesn't fall completely flat.
Actually, that's something I would think about, giving it some actual depth, because the piano & strings combination you've got coming in every now and then is the best part of the track.
I'm thinking, a piano laying down a mid-register chord on every beat, with a high-register plink in rhythm with the guitar, could really make it sound even fuller!
Very nice song mate, the skeletal framework got a lot going for it. :)

The drums sound so 90's rap, and I fucking love it! The jazzy chords and the very subtle bass are very cool! This one, you could definietly stretch for a very long time :) I can imagine some sort of glockenspiel sweep could come in every 4th or 8th bar, with some sort of contra-melodic thing to start a new verse could be awesome. The current flute (is it a pan-flute?) could be some sort of chorus thing for sure.
Excellent work mate :)

This sounds like you mashed together a disco track with your drum&bass sound, I love it!
And the break, I think it could go even longer without the drums actually! Like twice the length, it feels a bit rushed with how it builds up to the next main part.
What drum samples do you use? I love how clicky the kick is, and the snare has just the right amount of snap to it.
I'm in love with the stops at 2minute mark, you could probably make that happen a bit more often without overextending your visit!

I don't know what it is with the bass, it sounds so messy, as if it clashes too much with the kick?
As for vocalist, it could probably work rather well with someone really screaming almost pantera-style during the palm-muted parts. :)

Here's an old track I decided to revisit, added some vocals where I sing some harmonies (hoping to get a friend of mine to sing it, she has more vocal experience and a voice I think fits the track better).
It doesn't have much of a structure right now, I'm thinking of maybe rearranging it to follow some sort of verse-chorus structure, what do you guys think? Any help is very much appreciated! :)
Thank you for all your inspiring comments about Look in Her Eyes, I never expected it to be so well-received, this was my first real attempt at singing for other people to hear so I'm very happy that everyone thinks I'm a good singer, I've always wanted to.
