oh hey... I can still make industrial... https://soundcloud.com/holy-helix/duel-tracked-v3/s-yEU4W The structure is very simple so I would like more C&C on the mix.
some STS ripoff song I did a few months ago. There's some issues with the cymbals but that's easily fixed when I get my computer home
ambient things expanded on song from earlier
If only they played to a metronome.. EDIT: NVM soundcloud really like their copyright now
Here is a updated version of another piece I'm doing for the Portal Repercussions. Also, my take on the famous nursery rhyme - London Bridges Falling Down, just started messing around ideas today. I'm working with my local high school and helping them write their marching band show.
Going a bit off from what I usually do with this song. Trying to ditch structure a bit and work on irregular patterns
Going a bit off from what I usually do with this song. Trying to ditch structure a bit and work on irregular patterns
I liked it, it was very interesting and cool.
learning piano at the moment, and trying out a new sound library I bought (Heavyocity Aeon)
xxx
The shaker sounds really harsh. I could definitely see this being played in that club from deus ex hr.
Here is a updated version of another piece I'm doing for the Portal Repercussions.
I like both but I especially like the brass in the first piece, it sounds really sinister and I especially like the last few bars as it sounds like it's reaching a massive peak.
learning piano at the moment, and trying out a new sound library I bought (Heavyocity Aeon)
I love this, is there any way I can grab a download of this? __________________________________ My remix is submitted, hope you guys like it: I tried to vary the plucks a bit and ended up getting a few things that didn't sound right so I just added a more 'trancey' pluck that comes in after the first break to try to add some variation. Edit: god dammit soundcloud, stop destroying the quality.
I love this, is there any way I can grab a download of this?
Of course! I don't have download links on soundcloud because I'm trying to get into freelance composing so I don't want people to use my music for free :v: But I'm guessing you just want a copy to listen to, so here (sorry it's a wav)
I worked a bit on my Liquid DnB song: https://soundcloud.com/gustavn/hzygdhcxtt4u/s-oCjI8 Feedback anyone?
The melody's a bit too cheesy for my liking, however you've got a good idea going, keep it up!
Which one? The chords, the pluck thing, or the piano near the end? And I'm not sure if I know what you mean by cheesy, but if it's what I think you mean, I can agree with you to a point. I'm not sure how to make it less to though :/

Got bored and trying to do something different. CC?
Just some stuff I did this evening. Tell me what you think about the mixing. Edit: Uploaded a new track with more content. This should be more enjoyable.
??? [editline]18th May 2013[/editline] also hey! can I get some cc on this test?
I worked a bit on my Liquid DnB song: https://soundcloud.com/gustavn/hzygdhcxtt4u/s-oCjI8 Feedback anyone?
the synthwork is clean but it feels a little bit safe. try experimenting with cutting the drums up a little more, don't be afraid to throw in elements you think might not work instead of going for the standard prog stabs, sub bass and piano. make this track your own!
After years, I decided to work on a Chillstep EP. Here is the Intro progress on my first track.
Sounds great! Add an ambient pad in the background.
Quite happy with how this came out, sounds best using headphones or stereo so you can hear the twin guitar part in the middle. Currently writing music based on the people I know. Heres another: I'm trying to find music that is similar to the stuff I write as I haven't heard anything similar that I could say it sounds like.
Worked on Penny Thief a bit more, and structure came in later :( The ending is a bit rough and the mid section needs more variety, but I just wanted to post this here for some criticism and suggestions.
A bit late for a remix of Make It Bun Dem but I'd love to get some critique on it so far!
man eyefunk so good at making weird shit
Worked on Penny Thief a bit more, and structure came in later :( The ending is a bit rough and the mid section needs more variety, but I just wanted to post this here for some criticism and suggestions.
Actually I think overall its rather good. If I had to make a suggestion though, I would say that I feel as if you started out with the intro, and then came up with something entirely different. Maybe what I'm suggesting is take snip bits of your ambiance in the intro and insert them in other places in the piece. It could work the other way around to, take small little snip bits of your piano melody, maybe even have the piano melody sounding a little off and put it in the intro. It just makes your whole piece feel more together. Its only a suggestion and not a criticism. ________________________________________________________________________ Also I did an arrangement the other day of a song from My Neighbor Totoro. My Neighbor Totoro: The Village In May - Joe Hisaishi "Arrangement"
hey guiz, its parx i'm alive for some reason. yeah here's this and this
So I wrote a folky song which is strictly acapella. Below is the w.i.p link to said acapella. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55034583/wipFolkyAcapellaThing.wav I say w.i.p because I have more verses written which I can't wait to record. Also, the backing track kind of lacks at the moment. I need to record more for that, too.

Do you think it would sound better if it had more of a transition? Also its hard to judge your voice with such a strange melody you were singing along with. One thing I do notice is that is sounds like your singing from your throat. Anyone that knows anything about vocal singing should be able to tell you that getting a good tone is about learning to breath properly. Thankfully I was able to get two semesters worth of private lesson at my university to learn about this stuff, but I still struggle, even now. So its hard to say what exactly you would need to do, since I can barely do it myself (instrumentalist here, not vocalist, ha). I'm sure if you did little google searching you'd fine some useful stuff. One thing I do remember is that you need to sing from your diaphragm and not just from your lungs. Hope that is helpful.

Kind of a given. Anyways, thanks again Rich!
