Decided to start writing an electronic track by first writing a score instead of doing everything on a piano roll. Because of the instruments I'm using it sounds more classical, but I still plan to make it electronic. I just need to find time to move it away from sheet music and into an actual DAW:

I think it sounds pretty decent, although I can definitely say it sounds more "popish," than classical, although I could understand why you would say it sounds more classical because your using orchestral instruments.

I don't listen to a lot of this sort of music but it's very lovely. Maybe cut down the reverb a tad bit but so far I think it's very nice.

Sounds absolutely delightful, makes me feel like a little kid walking through a snowy industrial victorian age london cobble-stone road, very well done my man!
Haven't got much critique other than making it into a full song, because you could add some violas a few bars from the end of the current clip, making it really feel like a professional orchestral piece, but besides that, very well done, expertly created

This sounds beautiful, I love the juicy portamento attack on the little leads at the 3:20~ mark, sounds wonderful
my only critique is that you use better drums, because that snare sounds pretty dull. May I recommend pre shifted claps? To get you started, there's some in VTDS3, and VEH3, both contain absolutely pure and clean sounding psclaps

i hate to be 'that guy' but this doesnt sound like trap at all. an alright tune, just take the reverb off of most of the stuff you have there because the mix is generally quite muddy. sounds very WIP at the moment aside from that

Sounds pretty awesome, very atmospheric and unique, however the structure of the song feels very awkward and jerky, it feels extremely improvised instead of laid out and organized properly, but aside from that, it sounds fantastic!

I'm digging the brash intro! The metronome before main part starts though? Not so sure if it works, I think perhaps having a frequency sweep there could work great.
When 1:22 comes around, I think having it wait until 1:24 then kicking into the next beefy part would make it fucking awesome, it would serve as a really short break before it kicks into overdrive and oh god the people are all dancing everywhere and making sweet babies because of that small change :smile:
I think that having the outro thing with the laughter could possibly co-exist with the ending that starts at 2:44ish, right now it jumps too much between the slow and chill parts and the boomy big phat places, and it saddens me because this is an awesome track and I sincerely believe that with just the small changes, it could go into the next level :smile:

One thing I think when I heard your music is that it could benefit from more diverse chords and intervals in general though, I think it sounds quite pretty production wise but really I think you could gain more benefit now by learning a bit more about music stuff.
Anyway, I really really lost focus over the last few weeks and couldn't force myself to pick up Cubase which is a feeling i'm sure you're all familiar with- eventually I got immersed into recreating certain sounds from some records I like, so I used that as a basis for a little two minute piece which has a PiL guitar and a portamento mellotron ala Flaming Lips on Soft Bulletin or XTC on Skylarking and a few other things
Idk I'm not very happy with it and I feel I need to change my direction and do something more punk, heaps basic but focused on song writing and structure, but its hard to decide to do something new sometimes! At the moment its hard to even do anything at all, lol

yeah but most of what you can hear is from dblue glitch
also that snippet sounds alright but you could smooth out that bassline with a lowpass filter, it just needs more subs.
most of my basslines are just a 3xOsc with 1 triangle osc and the other two oscs muted, then i use a lowpass filter with some resonance and turn the cutoff almost all the way down, boost the sub freqs with parametric EQ 2 and bam you have a boppin bassline.

I really like the simple sound of this, fits the vocals pretty well. The only thing I have to say about it is that the main bassline might get kind of tiring after a while, but that could just be me.

I like the melody, although I think there is a few things that could really make your piece stand out. Try doing other things besides block chords. Block chords aren't bad, but when you are scoring for a single instrument such as the piano you need variety to keep the listener engaged. So, I would suggest doing broken chords or arpeggios, maybe even have some rhythmic variation into it.
Anyways nice job for your first time.

Thanks for the feedback, I've tried to find places to fit in arpeggios + broken chords, but due to the speed + style of the song I have issues with finding anywhere where it fits well without sounding weird :v:
