Finally finished this song called, "Wild Call". It's a lot different then what I usually do, so please give me some critiques on how I could progress on making it better.
At 3:09 I don't know if you meant to or not, but the chord or whatever layers your using right there sounds really bad. It stops around 3:48, because it transition to different layers. Overall its a interesting piece, but I think maybe one thing to think about is if your going to follow the same chord progression through out the piece, more variation would be a good idea. For example :58, is very nice, I quite enjoyed that little bit. I think more variety in rhythm or melody for the piano might make this piece really awesome. Anyways that is all I could think of. Hope that helps.

I'm personally not hearing what you are referring to but that could just be my limited hearing through these shitty speakers.
Been messing with a bit of sampling, this is a rough edit made in a couple of hours. I would love some C&C. It of course lacks a rapping vocal. http://soundcloud.com/ubergimp/summer-beat EDIT: How do you make those fancy players?

Or the combination of sounds your using on that section is making it seem like that one note is C# when its actually just C. (The note I'm speaking of happens at 3:09, 3:23, and 3:37)

Another sid-remix.
Here's a demo reel of the stuff I've done over the past year, for those of you who appreciate trance.
worked on an oldie
-snip wrong thread
https://soundcloud.com/dperf/noreturn A little something I've been working on recently (Chillstep)
Obviously not finished, the solo part stops halfway through and the drums are incredibly stale, I was never good at making drum beats
Some shoegaze/alternative rock for my solo project's new demo.
as a huge fan of shoegaze/alt rock I say you did quite well with the style! I can tell it's definitely a demo, hopefully you guys can work out the mixing issues. You got some incredibly interesting ideas in here, yet at times it feels disconnected and jumbled. Some better transitions would be nice. Great work you got going on here.

Can someone recommend me a VST plugin with sounds of real instruments, harmonicas and stuff?
Can someone recommend me a VST plugin with sounds of real instruments, harmonicas and stuff?
Vienna or East West
Can someone recommend me a VST plugin with sounds of real instruments, harmonicas and stuff?
Whoa Jopp you're producing now?
Can someone recommend me a VST plugin with sounds of real instruments, harmonicas and stuff?
If you're going the free route, I can tell you that I've had somewhat success with doing realistic-ish tunes using soundfonts. I even made a pack of them a long time ago. http://mordi.ziphoid.com/data/stuff/Mordis%20Soundfonts.zip Not sure where I got them, or who I should attribute them to. I didn't make them. Here's a tune where I used a lot of these soundfonts and a shitty Edirol orchestral VST: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfXe3-t8M-I

this is so stupidly cheesy yet so fun
C&C please.
this is p repetitive but it's for 6 guys to rap over.
Do any of you know of any good electric and acoustic guitar VSTs? I really don't like fruity slayer at all.
Do any of you know of any good electric and acoustic guitar VSTs? I'm not looking for perfection, more a quick way to get tracks down, when I'm not with the band.
I worked on this one quite a bit, fixed up a few things and tried to fit in more variety. Personally, I'm having a hard time with the track, but hopefully this did the trick. Please give me some criticism! (This is not the same version, it's just uploaded under the same name)
Not bad man, but I think your piano VST is shitty most piano VSTs are though imo you should go find a detuned piano and record the part if you have the time
trying to use a bit more subtlety, not too fond of the drums yet or the intro section but i'll see what works as I go crit away
Messing around with some trap shit. Managed to actually "finish" my first chiptune song, and I use finish lightly
