For a first ever track, not bad! You rendered it VERY quietly though. Some more sounds in the drop could be useful, it seemed like it was just sub-bass and some random sounds thrown in at the beginning, but listening further, I noticed you fixed that.

I used NI Massive to make those chords with a flanger and reverb added (in fact I used Massive for all the synths).

The instrument is a vibraphone, but I couldn't tell you the genre. Smooth jazz maybe? It's too short of a sample to really get a good idea of what genre it is.
