OK SO I MAY NEED A LI'L BIT OH' HELP ON THIS ONE.
don't worry i AM buying a steel string guitar just for this song. but i don't need that what i DO need is a little bit of help with the drums.
these may or may not be the final drums of this. unfortunately drums being one of the few instruments i DON'T play, getting realistic ones has always been a challenge. this is not how i pictured the drums coming out... at all. i was going for more of an olafur arnalds 3055 type of drum break. plus. the drums aren't original. i highly prefer using 100% OC in all of my tracks as opposed to sampling off of freesound.org
if anybody can or wants to do drums kinda like the one in this track here

SUPER rough WIP version of womanizer.. the vast majority of it needs re-recording (apart from a few of the vocals). Also turns out the guide track was live and so not done to a metronome.. whoops. I didn't want to automate the tempo, so for now it just gets a teeny bit out of the time and the percussion is not in. Just fancied sharing it anyway, there'll be a proper version up in a week or so I hope.

i fav'd it on SC. if there where ONE thing i would change on it is the hats, they sound a little out of place and hip hoppy. i would replace them with some sort of tap or click. what i normally use for stuff like that is i record me tapping a pencil on a wooden surface or somethin' like that, and it sounds pretty chill. but esh perfec' aside from that. it is one of those tracks you wished was longer x.x

Your only problem is staying on pitch - pretty much everything else is perfect. I listened to it a couple times at school and was totally into it.

Sadly, the pitch thing is something you'll improve with time. It's why I don't have vocals in my music.

The snare sounds like it could have a subtle white noise release sound played over it, but it's just my personal preference, I love snares with a little bit of tail end, instead of just "bom" sounds

aside from that it's really badass!

I need some minor help with chords, I got a song I'm writing that currently goes like this;

[Verse]
A C G D
A C G D
[Pre-chorus]
A F
C G
[Chorus]
C G A F
C G A F

Then repeat, currently it is supposed to go like this;
Verse
Pre-chorus
Chorus
Verse
Pre-chorus
Chorus
guitar solo (not sure what chords I want here)
Chorus

Since it is a rock ballad I feel that it could do with some more chords, but since I really don't know a lot of chords (I am willing and want to learn though obviously) I've only used D C G A F (the ones I know) and I'd love to have someone help me out, both with helping me add some more chords and give me help with how I can use those chords for sticks and stuff between the chorus and verse for instance, and for the guitar solo. :smile:

First thing I got taught is belly not chest, and be loud without yelling and find your resonant point

I cant really talk about singing though, the latest thing on my soundcloud is waiting for some girl vocals from a friend instead of doing them myself

I can't help you much with mixing, since it sounds pretty solid as it is. Your chord progression is fucking awesome, though.
