Suk mah nutz
that hi-end hiss makes this track pretty difficult to listen to loudly. is there a whole layer of white noise or something?
It's the quality compression on the online music store's pages. I've raised this issue with my A&R to see if he can do anything about it, but I can assure you the actual .mp3 file isn't like that
I've been finding it impossible to finish music, whatever I do I just can't finish it. ;-;
Anyone else get these feels?
That's me every song.
I need to learn proper song structure. It's where never learning an instrument comes back to bite you.

I'm in a similar hump, but to me it usually just boils down to me wanting to get the sound out right away, rather than practice what I'm about to do first.
Impatience is a bitch.

Guitar-Procore
A few works in progress. The second one is a quick and shitty master, it should sound better once finalized.

I should really stop posting short bad covers of songs here :v:
I learned most of that today, love Knopfler.

tried mixing with headphones instead of my shite stereo speakers, and my overall mix turned out a whole lot crisper. as for this draft, it's my first time recording an acoustic guitar, so i'd like a bit of feedback in regards to that. i'd also like some suggestions/feedback in regard to the transition from bridge to chorus, and from chorus to verse, as i find it a bit abrupt. no matter what i tried, i couldn't get the transition to sound natural, so i'm considering recomposing chorus, but let me know what you guys thank.
Here is a update of my orchestral piece.

i', using the 808 samples from the machine pack that art posted on these forums a while back
I haven't done much mastering or mix work on the drum track yet, don't want to keep repeating the same pattern either so i'll have to put more work into that
I'll check out goldbaby's though, cheers

Stuff like this needs a vocalist, it's a pity I don't have access to one

quickly listening to your track I can tell your snare is too far panned to the right
I know its a tip that you want it panned slightly to the right because car speakers but you need to be moderate in how you pan with your drums especially, try keeping your kick and snare fairly close to the center conventionally
[editline]13th January 2014[/editline]
since when was double posting even a thing that can happen
tried doing a remix of Get Down Low by TC since he posted the stems
generic trap I guess

building on top of this, if you're not very well acquainted with drum positions, look at some pictures of drum sets, and compose your mix from these images.
Sup guys, I am making a new song yet still I need some advice on structure, musicality and melody. I'ts pretty repetitive and I know it can be boring, but if someone could give me some constructive criticism on this I'd apreciate. I think it's some kind of melodic trance, but hell I don't know.

(It's got a quick-thrown mix and has no mastering on it, so expect volume, compression and EQing issues)
Here's my finished remix I've been posting for criticism, didn't win anything sadly but that's not really what I was going for in the first place

Reminds me of the Hotline miami soundtrack. I'm actually producing a similar track nice work.
