Probably some of the best I've scored so far. Proud with this one.
Still aggravated that I don't have a VSL. Sibelius sounds will have to do for now until I get a good one.
Good work!
If you can get your hands on EastWest symphonic orchestra, you'll be good to go. I have the gold version, but I'm sure you could make do with the silver version if you are short on cash. You could always upgrade to the other versions later on.

Thanks! I just noticed these specifically two days ago and I'm amazed how high quality their sounds are. I'm actually more keen on the Hollywood series. Not to mention it's produced by Nick Phoenix and Thomas Bergersen who are literally my writing inspiration. I'm shooting to get the Composers Collection over the summer. Gold specifically, and then upgrade to diamond once I gather some more cash.

Actually now I don't even know. Ugh. I'll keep an eye on Symphonic Orchestra too.

Now that you pointed out I may get symphonic orchestra now. Cheaper in the long run.

Renoise Fl studio Logic Pro.
Renoise is best for drums. Period.

i personally use ableton live and i fucking love it. fl studio is garbage and i dont have any experience with anything else. its down to personal preference really
This isn't entirely serious I'm not sure I really made this

It's not garbage at all. It depends on how you work. I've used FL for years, but after buying live instruments and recording equipment I had to switch, as FL is not terribly well suited for recording and mixing live instruments. FL is great for electronic styles of music, IMO.
I tried out Pro Tools, which is great for recording. However, the price is a bit too steep. Studio One is really great as well, which is what I use now. Loving it so far. It seems much more lightweight than PT, yet still has a great workflow and features.

The price isn't steep for the tools you get. If you want a professional DAW, be ready to spend a grand.
Nuendo 6, which is the DAW Valve use's in their studio, is $1700
Hey any of you guys heard that super swingy track "Birds" by Middle Milk on plasmapool? Well I got the opportunity to remix it from the milkman himself...
Check out my preview!
Wow, that was great. The beginning is badass, but I feel it's kind of out place the rest of your piece. It was like the opening to some really jammin Heavy Metal song. I loved the other parts though, it gave me that feeling of being lost in my thoughts.
Thanks for the input, Rich! The beginning does feel a bit out of place due to this song being part of a much larger piece, so it should make a bit more sense later on. Still, I definitely agree that it feels a bit too exciting for the rest of the piece.
Composing a little piano piece.

Interesting piece, but the harmonies are a bit strange in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree  I'm not amazing at harmonies yet, and there's a few clashes I need to sort out. I'm happy I got a fairly classical sounding piece, though, never managed to do that before!
Here's something I've started recently, don't really know what to do with it

sick. could use better vocals. maybe do more layers with your rhythm guitar add some bass for the hits and a strong lead fill here and there would be sweet.
