Real original. The bells(?) at the end were my favorite part, I think the sound of dust on a vinyl record would have went nicely with that & the ambient section in the middle.

I got myself a maschine studio last week and I'm finally getting the hang of it. It's really hard to just change your working mindset after 5 or so years but so far I'm loving it.

Nice drums, the snare specially has quite some punch. Got a pretty dark feeling (specially because of the really high pad-ambience-string that goes on from the start until 2:56).

I think you should try to make the drums stand out more (use EQ and leveling) and, in your old track, add some reverb to the snare so it mixes better.

Some of the synths are awesome, but the drums are a bit lacking and it's quite frustrating.

The only thing that really stands out to me right now is the mix, it sounds a little muddy. Cleaning up the low end on your synths should make everything sit much nicer. You did a pretty good job with the synths, I don't really like that modern-talking sounding one though. It sounds a little too plain in comparison to the other synths. As for the drums, I think the only thing you need to do is make the kick a little more powerful and they'll be fine.

Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. I've changed the drums up a bit and fixed the mix a bit (made the low end of the bass mono helped a lot). Any better?

The first one isn't my kind of style so I can't give you much opinion there, but the second one (the end specially) has an awesome feeling which reminds me of Solar Fields.

May be just me, but I think it would sound better if you changed the drums and drum pattern to be slower and "dubstep-like" instead of "drum and bass-like". I think it would fit better with the synths, help them have more impact.

It's FL Studio 11. I first started producing with it and I'm still using it. Tried Ableton but I already got used to the playlist/pattern style from FL (also it's better for 2 monitors).

Sounds a lot better overall! I think the mix is a bit lacking in high-end though, I think boosting the highs on your synths should help with that, along with boosting the high end on your snare.
