Guys holy shit this isn't really anything new (well sorta) but it's my new track coming out, but with the vocals from Zedd's latest track, and holy shit it actually fits better than I expected, check it out https://soundcloud.com/morganhicks/wow-zedd-copied-me/s-ZxiW9
Pretty sexy man! I love the style!
Some progressive-ish stuff I'm working on. Trying to get my sounds to sound bigger :v:
The sound and mix are cool but the chord progression makes it feel almost aimless, it's just meandering randomly as far as the direction of the song is concerned.

My progressions and melodies are shit, I want to eventually learn an instrument and it might help me learn how to make melodies and progressions :v:
If anything, just study songs that have good movement and progression. There's only so many chord patterns out there, no shame in borrowing some of them. The only other comment is that the sound is a bit generic, which is fine if it's your aim to just get the basics right.
I just needed to relax
started using MuLab, so much better than FL Studio
Yay more mainstream Dubstep WIPs! This is for a project my animation class in school is working on.

I have no musical knowledge to read music or know what chords are being played in progressive music. I hope learning an instrument will help me with chord progressions :v: Started a new track:
I don't remember if I posted this already... But it's a track I finished a while back and I just released. I decided to take that whole glitch hop/neurohop sound in a different, calmer direction C&C would be fantastic
found this cool little app for my ipad called beatmaker 2 been playing with it all day

So I threw in Inception's theme "Time" into FL. Nothing fancy, just 50 minutes of boredom. Sometimes I can't be creative enough for melody making also, third and latest iteration of one of my songs still think it's shit though, can't find any more inspiration to follow it
Made this over the past few days: https://soundcloud.com/masonkaskiw/wellington-street/s-clNDV And this, not too long before it (I still need to fix that abrupt ending though): https://soundcloud.com/masonkaskiw/wednesday/s-UgQsM Also; I'm not sure if anyone saw it (probably not, it wasn't there for long), but I posted a real awful track a while ago, before I got new headphones. I never would have guessed it would have made such a massive difference to be honest, just getting better headphones... I mean, that track had shit panned real far to either side and wasn't evened out on the other, the high end of it was louder than fuck, and it just sounded like garbage altogether. So, hopefully that didn't look too bad on me. I also like that you have a lot of percussion going on in the background that you wouldn't really notice at first (like that rattling noise, for example), so there's more to focus on than just the main stuff (bass, kick & snare) that's going on.
i may be too white to groove. just got a bass in the house trying out some sounds. any recommendations on eqing bass? panning? etc. [editline]20th March 2014[/editline] working on some srv style

made some fast-paced rock/metal with organs and stuff name's a reference to jojo's bizarre adventure, been reading a lot of it lately
I attempted to make a track that was really peaceful and upbeat. This one was heavily inspired by John Frusciante and Radiohead's Lotus Flower.
I really dig the xylophone-esque part key in the first one, it's a cool feel for the song. Not entirely sure if the chord guitar is always working that well for it. I feel like it needs some more aggressive strumming, maybe it's coming off flimsy instead of mellow to me.

more ideas. probly gonna start finishing things up and throwing them together.
new reggae/skapunk track I composed, there's another version with a real bass guitar done by a bassist from my town but he's still perfecting his part and it still needs vocals to be recorded
and here's another, sort of a porn groove to it
and here's another, sort of a porn groove to it
That offbeat guitar feels a little out of time with the rest of the track, but this is pretty sick! Hey how's about I commission you to record some more of those funky guitar loops for my tracks :v: ?
