Thanks for giving some feedback with your post! We've been doing really well these last few days, guys. Also, if you want to get the tags to work, you'll need to remove the 'S' in 'https' from the URL. [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] Aah, beat me to it :P
This is quite nice, it's very hypnotic. [editline]24th May 2014[/editline] Finally made a full track for once It's for a uni class 80's synth I'm calling it done for now, but I may come back to it eventually once I get feedback from my teacher. Add some variation. Just glad it's finished.
Very nice. What synth did you use?
Here's a thing I made playing with midi effects... not sure where to take it though :/
Very nice. What synth did you use?
Thanks. I used NI Massive. The siren was made in FM8

In this thread we've been asking that everyone posts feedback for someone else when posting their own work. If you could edit your post or make a new one with a comment on someone else's song, that would be really great of you. Thanks!
A lot of you guys seem to be pretty good at triphop/downtempo stuff, where'd you find your percussion samples and synths?

[editline]25th May 2014[/editline]
I like it. You can really feel the emotion. At points I couldn't understand the lyrics, but that could be the point. Good job though, I hope you feel better soon! tried my hand at some hip hop stuff, dunno. only track I've ever made public, whatcha think?
I'm really liking this one, great really smooth. I like how it brings the different parts in.
I'm used to making reggae and shit so this is a new foray, first attempt at making something with FL studio since my old house music :v:
Share the love buddy, if you know what I'm sayin'
12 save files later from that crappy trance thing I was workin on this is what i've got, i feel this is very close to where I want it to be but something's not quite there with it, could use some CC on this one thinking I just need to open it up a bit with some breaks and transition work to give it a bit more breathing space if you will [editline]25th May 2014[/editline]
I'm used to making reggae and shit so this is a new foray, first attempt at making something with FL studio since my old house music :v:
I love this kinda stuff but not sure about that sudden transition at 40 seconds or so, got really into one vibe and then it suddenly switched up, [editline]25th May 2014[/editline]
Here's a thing I made playing with midi effects... not sure where to take it though :/
this is prety cool, i feel like i'm expecting a heavy beat to come in at about 15 seconds sort of like how the beat comes in with this song [editline]25th May 2014[/editline]
I like it. i'm loving these new samples
i'm loving these new samples
this is so motown lol the drum beat could use more variation and space especially the snare. the lead synth is a little too muddy for my taste but once again, this is a cool beat anyone could rap over. ehh

Isaac Hayes - Make a Little Love to Me I'm always worried about what people might think about sampling. I mean a lot of the music I listen to uses sampling and I'm cool with it. But then you get those guys that say it has no skill or whatever. If I'm honest it can be pretty hard, that could be because I'm shit though. I played the samples live on my midi keyboard, and it was tricky enough getting it all in time and getting 'that sound'. Oh well, sorry for the little rant. And thanks for the feedback guys! I wasn't expecting such a reception... so it was a nice surprise!
screwing around a little more can anybody recommend a better synth than 3x osc for downtempo stuff? it's got that lounge feeling to it but it's literally 3x osc with miniscule tampering
Any synth is good for any genre if you know how to program it.
Any synth is good for any genre if you know how to program it.
v:v:v the only synth i'm kind of okay with is harmor, i'll probably keep dicking around with 3x osc tho [editline]26th May 2014[/editline] getting more used to this kinda stuff
i'm loving these new samples
Okay, geogzm- no offense, but you've been a bit of a repeat offender. Especially as you're a regular here, could you please post feedback with your songs? Or if you don't want to maybe we could have a discussion about it? EDIT: Okay, my mistake. You did post feedback after your first song on this page. Sorry about that. It's a bit hard to keep track with so much love going around lately. Keep up the good work man :)
ehh
And of course, although I know you, I don't think you post here too often. We've been asking that everyone who posts their own work takes a second to give a comment or two on other people's work first. A bit of a pay-it-forward system. If you wanted to edit your post with feedback or make a new reply, we'd really appreciate it.

If you switch to the "INS" tab on it, you can change envelopes, add some simple filters and LFO. If you need something more powerful, Massive makes a pretty perfect synth all around. That's my go-to synth for almost anything that 3xOsc is too simple for.
I think it should be feedback every post provided there is something new to feedback tbh
ehh
great use of guitars with percussion, dem bongos the actual loop itself could use breaking up a bit with a few more interludes to kinda space out how often you hear that main melody but otherwise it's bloody brilliant
Yeah, I'm really sorry geogzm. I didn't mean to like, jump at your throat or anything. It's been a rough week, and I just got confused since you post feedback regularly but just independent of when you post your own stuff. Hopefully no hard feelings <3
lo siento guys, i'll be sure to post more criticism just not at this very moment
