Did a quick mix test on a riff, EZ Mix makes getting quality results too freakin' easy.
Even better version.

Go ahead, make my day. It's been a while
ahh this is so nice and relaxing
i love the way the drums have the lows/highs cut, it sounds like they're being played through a cheap radio in an office building or on a beach, then the distant guitar comes in and aaa i like this a lot. i was a little let down that it wasn't building up to a more energetic, "whole" bit in the song. i was hoping the buildup that started at like 2.15 would go on for like 2 bars and then finally lead to sort of an "explosion" in the track where the drums were unfiltered and had a lot more impact and you threw in a solid bassline while the guitar tracks just kept hammering on. would have been a nice crescendo to such a relaxing track.
either way its really nice. if you dont plan on going back and doing the crescendo could you upload stems or something so i could, just for fun?

Well the drums are really good. You need a new sample for the melody though.

I like it a lot! I wish there were some very brutal vocals to it. It makes me wanna mosh like a mofugga. Ah, those were the days.

yo this got me going dome. i think 2:19 - 2:44 is a bit redundant but it's pretty so its k. a melody on top of 3:21 would've been nice. i'm putting this on my phone thanks
Because I can't stick to only one piece of music at one time here is another piece I'm working on. Essentially the entire first 1 min is based off two chords, but I put some variations to them. More to come from this one.
Frozen Chamber:
So I tried that 24 hour EP challenge.

Love those chords. And the arpeggios are great. I can see what you're trying to do with the dynamics, but I think the quiet parts were a bit too quiet. I'd say put a compressor on the strings to bring them up a bit, so they still sound like they're playing quietly but aren't so inaudible. The four notes at the end were a bit iffy, but that first 30 seconds were great.

I liked Pleather, the main melody was good. I think you could do a bit more to make the transitions between the sections more obvious, like some percussion fills or some rising/falling stuff.
Sounds like FL Slayer on The Weakest. Whatever it is doing the main synth line, get rid of it. It's not a nice sounding distortion, imo. I would bring up the strings and lower the perc in the break. The synth starting at 2:10 isn't that nice either. Progression throughout the song was alright, but yeah I'd change some of those synths, especially the guitar-y one.
Is Be started off promising, I liked that melody in the intro, but I don't think the bass and acid synth sound right with it, sounds like they're in a different key. The section after 1:40 was good, you tranitioned into it nicely too.
Good work for 24 hours
lots of mastering and tweaks to be made on this, but you get the idea:

I really wanted to, but it was basically 4 pages of electronic music, and I don't really know how to critique stuff along those lines...

On the subject of my not being able to critique Electronic Music, I really liked this, far too many people focus on sticking inside 4/4 too much.

Hence why more people should listen to Venetian Snares

I'd like to, but I'm busy at the moment and don't really have time. If I get a spare hour somewhere I'll try pming you the stems
Thanks for the feedback though because I think I've received that criticism before so obviously I need to work on that area, which is great

Sounds really good but I think it would sound better if you turned up the bass a bit.

Hey guys,
Been a while since I've last posted here but so much has happened in the meantime.
First off, I finally managed to finish my debut EP After Hours, which will be available for purchase on Beatport on May 6th.
Second of all, I managed to get a deal for a single over at OM Records/Child's Play, located in San Fransisco. Guys like Kaskade, Wolfgang Gartner, Bassnectar and Flosstradamus have contributed to this label so it's pretty big! I don't have a release date just yet but it should drop somwhere early next month!
In the meantime, the tune I made with XXTRAKT got some major airplay on Studio Brussels, which is like Belgium's BBC 1xtra. The guy hosting the radio show, Murdock, a respectable international DJ, got in touch with me to discuss my next move. He's kinda my manager right now, which sounds cool as fuck. He got me a sweet deal in which 2 of my tunes get to be featured on a trap compilation CD in the UK!
With all this attention recently I had to pick up DJ'ing because people were asking me to play shows and shit. So far I had to cancel 4 gigs already solely because I can't DJ properly yet. But anyway, I'm practicing like a MF right now with my little controller, and if all goes well I'll be playing in front of 700 people on May 2nd! I'm shitting my pants already. I've never even touched a CDJ before in my life. Hope this ends well!
Anyway, have some actual content in the meantime, a preview of the final tune for my debut EP!

You got a great career ahead of you, I hope you use the best of it! Be original, stick out from the crowd. Your song "Don't Stop" blew me away with a smooth, clean bass melody that felt completely original and your own. Hopefully you'll continue to be innovative and interesting, and I believe you will.
Good luck man!
I would just like to say there is a lot of very talented musicians here.

Haven't been producing in a while, now I'm back with (hopefully) a vengeance!

The opening chord switch is very obviously deadmau5-inspired in a bad way. Switch the first two chords and you have yourself an fine piece of work.
someone help me fit this in a specific genre, thanks

Was thinking like proto-trap? I have no idea.

I've been trying to make half decent sounding drums on logic, took me bloody ages. Think I need to invest in an external drum machine, that or learn how to play a kit..
Hey guys so this is something that I started working on yesterday. It's pretty mellow and I think it has a good amount of potential. I would love to hear some critique if I'm missing something that would sound nice or if there's something in the mix so far that could be fixed. Thanks.

i like the main organ-y synth alot could bring it down a tiny amount though, while bringing out that higher sounding pad synth a lot more though to make the mix sound a bit cleaner.
might also help having some more natural sounding drums, because at the moment the snare sounds like its going through a lowpass filter and gets kinda repetitive as the track goes on
other than that though, very nice, it's simple but i like it a bunch.
