For the last month or so we've been making it a rule that everyone who posts a song first posts feedback for someone else. If you could pick a song or two and edit in some feedback for others with your post we'd really appreciate it.
Also, you'll want to remove the S from https and use tags.
Oh sorry, haven't been here for a while. I'll post some feedback tomorrow or something.
Fixed link. And it's sick, gives a really cool math-rocky vibe. Some of the drum timing is a bit off, there's too much sub bass in the kick drum, and the drum sound gets really weird and out of phase in the chorus.
Here's the updated version. I'm having trouble removing that sub bass though, I can't tell if it's still there, my headphones are beastly already so it's kinda hard for me to differentiate.

I like this, super wavy and trippy. Some dirty bass on there would add a cool grungy feeling to it, unless you're going for a clean sound, which if that's the case, you nailed it.
I dig it.

Very ambient and really atmospheric! I agree that some bass would be really good, and a grungy feel would really be an interesting direction to take that piece in.
I don't know if this is in the rules but I'd like to replug this:

please?
Haven't been here in a few years.

I write a field of genres from footwork to trap to downtempo to ambient and a few others... but mainly trap and footwork these days. Please, let me know what you think, and if you leave a like or a comment on any of the songs (or a follow) - I'll be more likely to check you out!
Help another brother out and I'm sure people will want to help you as well. :)

As you can certainly read above or on any of these last few pages, the going rate for feedback is supplying some feedback yourself. If you'd pick a song or two and give a comment/critique on it, either as a new post or preferably edit it into your current post, we'd all really appreciate it.

As per usual with you, this is a fucking tight beat, just insane man, I can't even tell you anything wrong with it other than the fact it's not a full length track and it's not released officially :C
DON'T let your talent go to waste man

haven't listened to house like this in a long time, but I really like this. i like the way the piano comes in at the start, it set a pretty nice mood for the track. nice piano melody too, you've always got some pretty different sounding melodies. great work!
so i screwed up with the mastering on this pretty badly and didn't notice until i had already uploaded it... taught me to ALWAYS check everything over with my headphones instead of trusting my shitty speakers. but i made this track focusing a lot on arrangement and sound design. i'd like to know what you guys think of the sounds

I really enjoyed that. My friend really liked that house feel. The build was good and I definitely enjoyed the variety in sounds. That piano is just hrrnngh. The transitions are pretty solid, especially the one around the 0:33 second mark.
I assume its a result of the mastering but I'm not a big fan of the instrumentation used in the very first section. Its Terraria esque, but the instruments are really sharp and clangy. The lack of a solid melody is also very off putting. I hate to reiterate but I really dislike the percussion.
Anyway, I've been trying to put together a music group and we just made this concept together. Its based off an interest of one our friends; a rather famous historical figure. The sounds are all very fake, but in a few weeks we're going to do a re record with actual instruments. We were also missing our lyricist, fiddler, trumpeter, and guitarist, so sorry if it sounds really electronicy for now. Feedback would be appreciated, though this work is heavy WIP.
I think it's enough as it is, to be honest. It's short, but it sounds like a complete track to me already. Did you play the piano or use a plugin? It sounds good.
Thanks I was thinking about keeping it as the final product (though I did raise the levels because it was too quiet).
It was all a plug-in actually. I made sure to keep fair detail on the velocity so it can sound as real as possible.
I started this off as a hip hop track, and after adding in a break from one of my older tracks that was never finished, I selected only the starting of it, which made it keep looping, so that I could make it match the tempo correctly. I forgot to disable the rest of the plugins and shit, so it was playing only to the first snare before repeating again. It sounded fucking sick, so I just cut all the other shit out and built on top of that. Only 11 seconds long so far, but it got me all excited and shit and I feel like I gotta share it already.
Love it. What I would do is I would loop that bar and add a progressively building melody overtop. Play with the drums as well so it doesn't sound too repetitive when (if) you loop it
Anyway I just finished recording this thing. Its been a while since I recorded. I took a main line from an older song I was working on and decided to use it in this piece. I hope its decent.
Beautiful song. I'm assuming you played this yourself. I can see this having some strings in the middle of the piece to add some needed meat. It's a bit hollow at times especially near the middle where I'm kind of anticipating it to get louder.
It's kind of hard to tell if you're playing it with soft keys on a keyboard or on a harp. If you're not playing it on a harp, i'd see if you can. Otherwise, fantastic composition my friend.

Very repetitive, but I think adding a melody ontop of the piano chords would help a lot. Lower the chimes a bit too once more stuff comes in. I can see this being a cool piece, it just needs more to it.

I think it'd be very cool if you overlapped and cross faded the hitler speech with the piano rather than having the piano randomly come in.

What do you mean? The bass line?
SO I think I got this edm thing figure out. kick snare with a chord. Not structure just fancy sounds is what i gotta work on. hmmm.

Up one octave?
Mainly what daw, sounds, and plug-ins you used, etc.
hmmm, i'll start with plugins because that's pretty easy. instruments i use a lot are Sytrus, Massive, and 3xOsc, but I recently started exploring more of FL's included plugins like DirectWave, Harmor, Wasp, and Fruity Granulizer. most of the sounds were made without any resampling or anything, i just like to throw tons of fx (mainly different types of distortion) on my instruments so I can still play them. but I use DirectWave to take the bass wav files i have and still be able to play them like an instrument. DAW should have been figured out already, I use FL Studio 11 haha. if you're looking to try and make sounds like these then i'd recommend learning more about filters and just getting a lot of movement out of your synths as possible. granulizing can also have some awesome effects on a sample, so you could also check that out. also, try to find distortion plugins that have different effects on the sound than standard distortion plugins, all of the ones I use are also free because there's so many. it's mainly just throwing a bunch of fx together and knowing how to tweak them until you get it right i guess. hopefully this info is useful!
What would you suggest I do?

no like change the whole synth to something with less effects.
no like change the whole synth to something with less effects.
But it's just a saw wave with some reverb? You recommend I take off the reverb?

Yeah we were planning to do a cello/fiddle lead into the piano underneath the Hitler speech but our fiddler couldn't come.

interesting breakcore beat, like the stereo mixing, also the soft midrange pad-ish thing that comes in at around 1:25.

Eh, the beginning needs something to balance it out, it can't just start out at that pace and continue at it throughout the song. Try adding in some slow ballad like stuff in the same key and chords and have the square pad fade in over time. Also the drums are way too soft and the snare is so low pitched it's hard to hear it over everything else.
Anyways, here's my latest track, some people have said the mastering is off, and mastering is basically the only thing I think it needs besides tuning the bass line a little bit.

not exactly sure what this would fall under as it's at 135 bpm or something, but i'd probably say it's neurohop. the faster bpm idea came from the song "ick" by kursa
