Seriously get a hearing implant. The only people who have problems with hearing implants are people who have been deaf their entire lives because their minds never adjusted to being able to hear sound.

I know 2 people who have been deaf and had their hearing almost completely restored. The first person was born deaf. The second person lost her hearing later in life, then got it back, using a similar operation. It was about $2,000,000, on the government. If you're in america you're fucked I guess, otherwise, look around, it is possible.
