This song might cheer you up. Oh wait.
I am totally understandable of that matter but I mean no selfish or cruelty to them If I do indeed take my own life. This is too unbearable for me to handle, it's like a boulder slowly throttling toward you while tied down to a tree. I can do nothing but wait until it finally clashes me.
I cannot live like this unless we had bionic or artificial or newly regenerated hearing drums or ears like in Ghost in the Shell, like cybernetic implants. But we have nothing now that can perform this.
Mean it or not they will indeed suffer from it.
It's too unbearable. I love to sing, I love to write songs and play my guitar. I could not live like this at all. I don't know any other alternative solutions.
I play the drums, myself. Sure, if I went deaf I would be really depressed, but I wouldn't go so far as to commit suicide. Suicide is a waste of a life, whether or not that person is damaged in any way.
Handsome do not commit suicide just because you are going deaf.
You can still cope and get over this, your life is worth something we all love you and can help you.
You're not alone we're here for you.
Take it day by day, not week by week or month by month. Day by day.
If these are serious thoughts of suicide you need to seek help you can visit http://www.hopeline.com/
as a first form. Or just by discussing you're story with people.
There are people who care. There are times in life where you think what you don't have.
But you know what now it's time to think about the things you do have.
I'm legally blind and I LOVE to see the sights and travel. I can't leave the house without something correcting my vision because I literally cannot see two inches in front of my face.
But you don't see me killing myself because I'm too lazy to look into treatment/find an alternative.
I heard that if your vision is too bad, they can't fully fix it that way.

Do some fucking research, goddamn.
Dont listen to this guy, shooting yourself in the prain stem can cause paralizing.
From what I've heard, if you sever the stem completely, you'll die.
Wow OP you're a fucking joke
Not only is that a really bullshit reason to kill yourself but chances are deafness will be curable in a decade or two anyway, discounting the possibility of getting it fixed beforehand. you even said the doctor mentioned bionic hearing or some shit but you don't want to walk around as a cyborg or whatever
like really is this a troll thread or are you just a tremendous moron
even if you are cured maybe you SHOULD off yourself - how do you expect to go anywhere in life with such a shitty attitude?
He says there's this shit on the medical market called bionic hearing which is like in a prototype phase. But I don't want to live walking around with some bulky contraption that helps me hear minimalistic sounds that doesn't sound very sharp.
Actually, the odds of a completely intrusiveness hearing aid that works for near to total deafness being on the market for people like you in the next few years is extremely good. Medical technology is advancing at such an incredible rate, most common problems will be fixed and a thing of the past fairly quick.
In the mean time, just because you can't play your music doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Have you considered art? While you wait for technology to fix your ears, you can teach yourself and channel your creative powers somewhere else.
I strongly suggest you don't commit suicide, its your only life and I think there is plenty to live for, especially in this day and age with our technological and medical marvels. Worst comes to worst if you wait is you can just end it later, if you wait you might find another reason to live.
Good luck, I hope you don't kill yourself.
Dont listen to this guy, shooting yourself in the prain stem can cause paralizing.
Implying shooting yourself at any other part of your brain can't. Or at least won't leave you brain-damaged. :downs:
Stop being a pussy and don't suicide.
I understand you feel horrible, but damn it killing yourself isn't the answer. Go cry over someone's shoulder (I'm serious, it's a human thing) if you can't take it and search for some aid in people, also do your best to minimize the ear damage.
Really, suiciding will make you remembered only as a selfish, cowardly little bitch. Even if you WILL get deaf, just live the life to the limits. As it was already mentioned, Beethoven was deaf and yet he is acclaimed as one of the greatest composers of all times. You still have the other 4 perception devices.
You need to man up, being slightly deaf is no reason to kill yourself. Look at yourself, stop being so ungrateful, unreasonable and so selfish. Think of the people around you that love you, friends, family, it's them you are going to be hurting more. There are far worse off people in this world that are living the happiest lives they can, because they want to, they are making the most of it, whilst you're sat on a computer typing to a bunch a people on a forum about how your ears aren't functioning properly. Sort yourself out, oh, and if you didn't know, people who suffer from different forms of hearing disorders go through 3 mental stages:
1: Noticing problems with hearing, not doing anything about it, thinking it will pass/its not a problem.
2: Realising that something is actually wrong, you become very paranoid, scared, almost a claustrophobic like feeling.
3: Getting over this initial fear, figuring out ways to work around this problem, possible cures/work arounds.
You're on stage 2, and it's a hard one to get out of, now like I said at the start, man up.
Don't, man! Live for everything that you love. Music isn't everything! :(
for some people it's a big part of their lives
The more people who die/are killed due to un-natural causes, theres that many more who will....please dont.
And if you do commit suicide, please know that some people who saw this thread will be hurt beyond repair. One moment they read the forum, another moment they learn that your dead...that's kinda traumatizing. Please don't do it. Talk to a therapist, learn to cope, and talk to God
Lasik eye laser surgery. I'm getting that some time soon.
I don't trust it for some reason
I don't know why because iirc, there aren't any documented incidents with them.

both of my parents had the surgery, they're fine.
Don't do it, within 10 years we will have a semi workable cure, and if not, you get disability, and you can have fun still being deaf.
dont kill yourself, people still love you
<3
Woah, woah, woah. You want to kill yourself because you are losing one of your senses?
So what you want to say to me is: "I'm losing one of my senses, so I don't give a shit about any of my other senses"!
In essence, if you're going to die, you're not going to gain hearing, just lose EVERYTHING. I mean, sure, death is an escape route if life is too painful, but life is all you've got, so dig in and hold on.
I'd prefer to lose one sense, rather than every sense, and the ability to think.
Yes, you can live like that. It's honestly not all that bad. Being blind would be thousands of times worse. At least you can fix being deaf, even if it costs you shit-tons of money.
But even if you could fix being deaf with these electronic implants, it's not perfected. I mean I'm no expert but wouldn't, in this modern day in age, a deaf person with an artificial implant hear less sharply or differently than a person with normal hearing? The equipment isn't perfected yet, is it not?
You should put an altitude detector on yourself wired to some explosives.
Go to the top of a skyscraper and set the detector to go off a couple of stories above ground level.
Then jump.
Why is everyone having a go at the OP. They're obviously sad so why don't you have a heart instead of being mindless arseholes.
Suicide is no joke.
Why do you guys keep calling him selfish if he kills himself
That is going to make him stop, plus it doesn't even make any sense.
OP, Suicide is stupid, no matter the reason why you're comitting it.
Sure you can't hear, at least you don't have to listen to SREEEEEEEEENNNNGGGGG for 20 minutes straight or Justin Bieber singing. Try to look at it more positively OP.

No, it is not perfected. BUT, they are very close to atleast getting a workable version for the public.

it's a lot better than no hearing at all
Again, lose one sense, or all senses... Um, sounds like an easy choice. Besides, at least you aren't blind.

Give it ten years and your bionic ears will be better than a regular person's

No, but overtime, it will definitely improve. As of now, cochlear implants can allow a person to hear other people over the phone and in person. So I don't see why you wouldn't be able to listen to music. It may take a while to get used to it, but I don't see why not.

Read that. It's interesting.
The best way to commit suicide you ask?
Live a long life, full of love and loss, happiness and sadness, joy and anger, all the while taking the time to see the beauty of the world around you. Then, after you've accomplished all these steps, die peacefully, knowing that the memories you created have affected those around you and that you've placed your footprint in the path of life.
Nom on some Cyanide.
