I didn't enjoy as much as I thought I would. I thought it would be funny with a touch of seriousness. But it was mostly just stupid. All the stuff with Bill Murray was just weird.
Zombieland is a lot more enjoyable if you pretend that the whole premise of the movie is a satire of society's recent obsession with zombies, and how cool the zombie apocalypse is going to be. Especially as they talk about Facebook and how "epic" things are.
Emma Stone is fucking hot in this.
I was like oh shit this shit is awful
Then I watched the whole thing and it was really good. The trailers on British TV were crap though so I thought it was some unfunny American shit.
Overr-r-r-r-rated
This has to be my favorite zombie movie ever, Shaun of the Dead was good too, but this movie just seemed higher quality and was just a better movie. I thought the Bill Murray part was fucking funny and while Emma Stone was really hot, I thought that the first girl that turned into a zombie was hotter.

For a 'Zombie Comedy' movie it's not too funny. The characters are more quirky than funny, and it's, along with emma stone's hawtness, is severely overrated. Decent film though.
You can't compare Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland. Even thought they're both comedies with zombies, they're done in entirely different ways.
Different because: Zombie Land - American, Shaun of the Dead - British. It seems there is a difference in humor. Ever notice how The Office is popular in the US, but in the UK, Office Space hardly had any life? Or how about Coupling? It had its run in the UK, but in the US, it did not live up to expectations. Shaun of the Dead, his friend turns into a zombie at the end, but they still played Playstation together despite that, where as in Zombie Land, they shoot first, ask questions later that they even killed Bill Murray.
Great film, but I watched a rubbish pirated version with my mates, and we couldn't turn off the Dutch subtitles.
One of the greater zombie movies, they really did an awesome job with mixing humor with zombies.
Although the whole bit with Bill Murray was a bit overboard. :geno:

But overall Shaun is far more clever, quick, quotable, and genius.
Great movie cant wait for the sequel
The slow motion intro is probably one of the most entertaining movie intros I've ever seen.
Brilliant.

I love the music Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls, and the zombie with tassles made me laugh
This "zombie" movie lacked zombies, had a sappy romance arc, and bad acting. literally no zombies for atleast thirty minutes in a fucking zombie movie is unheard of, especially in this movie where it says "ZOMBIE KILL OF THE WEEK" RIGHT IN THE FUCKIN TRAILER. i am disappointed in this movie.
"I could use a twinkie."
I love that line.
Disapointed with this one as well. Started off so well, then [sp]as soon as they arrive at Bill Murray's mansion[/sp], the whole thing fell apart. Too much time wasted at that location and almost ruined the whole thing.
Gotta love the intro. Metallica + random zombies getting killed.
:guitar:
awsome movie
Over rated film, Mediocre at best.
Shaun of the dead is by no means a brilliant film, but i enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than zombieland.
Was some funny parts but too few and far between to redeem it.
i didn't find this movie good at all. it was just boring

Somehow, I believe that's what they were going for, but it just went right over the public's heads.

Admit it, you're fond of it because it was made in Europe. Either for sake of faithfulness to your country, or, if you're American, because British people are funny.
I shed a manly tear when [sp]Talahasee reveals that the "dog" he was talking about was infact his son.[/sp]
I love the film's undeniable bloody gore scenes, especially when the woman driving the mini-van away from the zombie-girl birthday party, and she flies out the front windshield....
That scene always makes me cringe a bit..
I still haven't seen this so I'm scared to read this thread, gonna check it out on someday.
Wasn't the best zombie movie, but it was pretty decent. It was something new.
It was fairly good, but as many mentioned, I think they took too much time in [sp] Bill Murray's mansion [/sp].
I thought it was as good as Shaun of the Dead. I really liked the humor in Zombieland.
I can't be the only guy here that didn't really like it. Sure it was kinda funny but there was nothing about it that made me truly remember it. Quite far from being the best zombie film ever, in fact I'd say it's on the lower half of the list.
