Will watch Kramer vs. Kramer, looks similar in premise to A Separation, doubt it'll be as good.
I saw it. It's nowhere near as good as A Separation, but performance wise it was pretty damn good. It's not entirely a court flick, it only occurs in the last half of the movie. In that respect it was pretty awesome. But AFI put this as 3rd best courtroom drama of all time, they really should rethink this.
The Rainmaker wasn't bad. [editline]26th July 2012[/editline] In fact, it was quite enjoyable.
Rainmaker was superb, can't believe I forgot that. It's probably Coppola's last shot at a mainstream movie too.

thread died, gonna watch "Anatomy of a Murder" and "In Cold Blood" to keep this sucker alive.
you know what i feel like doing? watching all 3 versions of 12 Angry Men one after the other. original: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050083/ TV remake: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118528/ Russian Remake: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0488478/ and you know what? this may be the ONLY film that has been remade but each still holding an integrity to stand as its own film. Haven't seen the remakes but I have high hopes, especially for that Russian one, it's 2 and a half hours long and I can't wait. [editline]18th January 2013[/editline] seriously good film.
I think the Russian Remake was on TV a while back. I read the info on it and it sounded damnably similar to 12 Angry Men, and I really wanted to see if it was, but I didn't get that channel.

Two pages in and I've yet to see Escape from Alcatraz, shocking! No court rooms or legal stuff, just a stunning movie about a prison escape. I'm always drawn to the fact there isn't that much dialogue which just seems to fit prison life, just a bunch of people serving there time in peace. Would have sworn someone posted it but the image link was broken. Good film.
i can't believe i've just watched a few good men some days back, it's so good. courtroom stuff like that are always fun to watch for me (yes ive watched 12 angry men, even if it's not really identical but still) btw i didnt expect kevin bacon and jack nicholson to be in there, i was surprised when they appeared lol
plan on seeing this next: anyone else seen it?
planning to see these, should be quite decent: That last is another remake of 12 Angry Men, but honestly.. each remake is actually quite good, especially the Russian one.
I really love legal/court movies. Probably because they're often driven by solid dialogue and that fluidity is very pleasant to watch. I love even more when a movie halfway through turns up to be a court drama/isn't entirely focus on legal element like Paths of Glory or To Kill A Mockingbird.
The Majestic has a big part dedicated to a court case. definetly worth watching just for that.

Really is one heck of a flick but Inherit did something that is so very relevant to this day, even if culturally it dates back quite a while.. 90 or so years I think, it still manages to challenge things that are still battled today.
