High metabolism is shit any way since it makes it harder to gain muscle mass so you can just end up stuck as a twig
I barely ever feel hungry, I can stay up for days at a time without much issues and I can chow down kilograms after kilograms of sugar and I'm still 50kg. I don't think I ever got above 52kg in my life. Downside is I can't do much exercise without collapsing on the ground from exhaustion after like 15 minutes at the very best.
you do not sound like a healthy individual
What, you're suggesting that being able to go through an entire pringles can in a single day, getting out of breath from walking up a slight incline and being only able to 4 pushups might suggest unhealthiness? ridiculous
High metabolism is shit any way since it makes it harder to gain muscle mass so you can just end up stuck as a twig
I'd rather be a twig than a Walmart visiting, scooter driving, whale. I mean, I am not even close to that fat, but it really, REALLY pisses me off when skinny people complain about being skinny.

I've got shit facial features any way so I guess that balances out the benefits I guess
So the secret ISNT nanomachines?
no it is, but combined with genetics, I am become death destroyer of worlds.

I mean, I am not even close to that fat, but it really, REALLY pisses me off when skinny people complain about being skinny.
It annoys me when skinny people act like they have a super high metabolism and that they couldn't change. If you have a high metabolism you're looking at 200 calories more per day than average at the most extreme or you have a severe metabolic disorder and need to get to a doctor asap. Count your calories for a week and when you discover you aren't even eating an average of 2000 per day you'll understand what you need to do. I used to be stuck in this mindset of making excuses like "it's my metabolism, it's not my fault, I can eat anything and not gain an ounce, I can't change," as if I was gods's own special exemption to the laws of thermodynamics, and now that I realize how goddamn stupid I've been I feel liberated.
im fat as fuck
Soda's honestly not the best way to maintain a metabolism. If you have huge amounts of it you could easily end up with diabetes (unless genetics blessed you twice), and I don't know about you guys, but sugary drinks are my main source of acne.
I had a blood test just a few months ago and my blood is completely perfect the doc said, even better than the blood from his daughter and she tries to be healthy. Maybe im double blessed. It's not alright to drink so much sugary drinks but I tried going only on water and I lost 10kg in 6 months.. worst times.
so everyone that's in shape was actually a fat little mexican boy before they hit puberty?
Sprints aren't good for you at all. More often than not your muscles don't get enough oxygen, which causes your muscles to produce lactic acid. Lactic acid causes soreness among other things. It's literally acid in your muscles. A good example of this happening is the Cheetah. It's powerful leg muscles don't get nearly enough oxygen during their sprints. As a result of this, they can only sprint for very short durations without collapsing. Even if they don't collapse, they'll need to rest for like half an hour.
Umm, high intensity interval training is arguably one of the best ways to exercise. And there is nothing wrong with lactic acid buildup, it's a necessary part of improving your body's ability to supply oxygen around the body.

In fact, weight training is the best way to lose weight. The second being high cardio excercise like jogging.
It's depressing how much genes matter. [t]http://i.imgur.com/sCuz0Qu.png[/t] Obesity isn't on there but I've heard that its heritability is like 0.9 or something ridiculous.

I was 240, maybe 260 at my heaviest, there was a point I didn't go on the scale out of shame. I drank a lot of pop and ate pure junk food. Over two years I'd say, cutting pop out to be a once or twice weekly maximum allowance and almost entirely removing fast food from my diet and doing serious portion control management I've managed to drop down to about 180. It's all it takes. Unless you have a seriously terrible, terrible genetic thing, or thyroid condition.
You're my roommate. Pisses me off, he drinks soft drink instead of water, the same meals I do and significantly more snack food like biscuits and lollies. I'm not saying I'm perfect (If I dieted properly I'd probably be fine) but I eat a lot healthier than he does and I work out more than him too, but guess who's more flabby. The main reason it upsets me isn't that he looks better than I do, I know I can fix that, I just really love food and I'm fucking jealous he can eat anything he wants whenever he wants with little to no consequence.
Little to no consequence? You can still be unhealthy as fuck with a high metabolic rate, especially if your roommate eats lots of fatty foods, hello heart disease. You get lactic acid from pretty much every type of exercise, better not do it at all!
I have: a genetic disease called PKU, a shit metabolism from my fat dad and I'm about as tall as people half my age from my short mum and my short dad... fuck my parents. Where do I order new genetics?
I have a high metabolism, it is awful for trying to gain weight. So I am stuck from 98-105
It's disturbing seeing so many people blame their issues on High/Low metabolism here. Anyone without a medical contidion preventing them from gaining weight, can gain weight, you're just not counting your calories and you're not considering what actually goes into your body. And this has to be the dumbest shit I've seen in a while.
Sprints aren't good for you at all. Lactic acid is completely normal when you start a sudden sprint, and it's usually a sign that you're really using your muscles.
I have a high metabolism, but I've been going to the gym and trying to eat more so I don't look like a bean pole. It's worked pretty well so far, I've gone from 53kg to 57-8 in about the space of nearly 3 months.
High metabolism is shit any way since it makes it harder to gain muscle mass so you can just end up stuck as a twig
Most of the time, the problem with "high metabolism people" isnt that their metabolism is to high to gain proper muscle. Its that they think they each much, when they don't. Try eating calorie dense food like peanutbutter some more. Aim for cal intake of 4-5k. You will gain muscle almost as fast as slow metabolism people.
Count your calories for a week and when you discover you aren't even eating an average of 2000 per day you'll understand what you need to do.
Hah, exactly. I always tell them to eat 5 big macs per day, but they say even 1 is too much for them. well, what can i say.
Hah, exactly. I always tell them to eat 5 big macs per day, but they say even 1 is too much for them. well, what can i say.
How can 1 Big Mac be to big for anyone? I could eat at least 3 of those things. I weigh 130.
Hah, exactly. I always tell them to eat 5 big macs per day, but they say even 1 is too much for them. well, what can i say.
Milk has always been my magic bullet. Drink a quart to a half gallon a day and you'll gain weight.
that guy needs to see a doctor
That's the joke.
Milk has always been my magic bullet. Drink a quart to a half gallon a day and you'll gain weight.
Not to brag or anything, but drinking 2,5% fat milk at least 1,5 l a day because I can't stand drinking water. Must be that's why I suck at losing weight, but hell.
High metabolism is shit any way since it makes it harder to gain muscle mass so you can just end up stuck as a twig
I had this problem but then I just ate so much and so much and now I've put on a heap of weight. A lot of people here say that they can eat whatever and not put on weight, well it's not always about that. You can eat so much crap and not put on weight, but your iron levels among other things are going to be so fucked up.

Admittedly 12 stone isn't exactly skinny and is normal weight for someone of my height, but I have pretty much zero muscles (although that's due to lack of exercise more than anything else)

I use to be around 60 kg when I was 17 but am now over 90 kg at 20, but this coincided with working out and gaining muscle. My metabolism is still fairly fast though, I'm hungry right now typing this and I'm about to go to bed. I need to eat again. I use to think I ate a lot, but now I really know I eat a lot. A lot of the time for some people it's not actually understanding how much a lot or a little is (hence fat people who think they don't eat a lot but eat a shit load). Same thing happens to skinny people and I'm sure it happened to me at one point.
