Welp, that explains it.
Okay, this is one of the best comics ever(!!!!!11!!11!). The art is gritty realism, and the plot is the standard "Zombies are here, lets live". But, there one difference: The characters are actually interesting.
Each character is has its own personality, none of which are generic, with back stories, problems, and subtle hints of there own guilt and evilness. Even though there some drawn out arcs, each one is played out and resolved in its own beautiful way.
The plot, even though its a zombie comic, is still amazing. The main character, Rick Grimes, is a cop of the state of Kentucky. After being put in a coma, he wakes up to an empty hospital. Than, he finds zombies, and the plot thickens. He heads down to Georgia, after finding the town empty, to find his wife and song, Lori and Carl. He rides a horse, all the way to Atlanta, and finds an infestation of zombies. but before being eaten, he meets a man, Glenn, who leads him to where the survivors have set up camp, along with his wife and son.
Now, why is this different than regular comics of this sort? Well, because of the above image. In this comic, the main focus is on the zombies, or even how the survivors survive along the zombies. Its about the thing people do now the civilization is no more, and the means they go to to survive. This analysis makes you being to ponder what you would if you were in the situation. The psychological issues each character goes through because the committed acts that they knew were wrong. The insanity they go through what they have done, and the pain of losing loved ones to a preventable death. Characters go trough changes, and its pointed out, or more so, you notice. The subtle notices of other characters act to one another, and how they are biased and talk behind one another's back. Even when the act of one characters actions are completely justified, it makes the audience and other character if thet just went too far.
Even though it only comes out with new issues monthly, its an amazing comic, and highly recommended.
Read the zombie survival guide. JUST DO IT.
So basically it's reiterating every "of the dead" movie ever made?
Seen at the comic book store I go to.

Right, because that totally makes up for every zombie movie/game/book/comic/story ever made. :downs:

There can't be enough about zombies.

Somewhat.
Somewhat.
Well atleast you're honest.
I'll probably end up seeing it in a book store or something some day and picking it up anyway, I'm a sucker for zombie shit.
Speaking of which, Every Sigh, the End, best zombie book ever made, read it.
I got book one a few weeks ago and it has a captivating story... now I really want to atleast get book two.

I mean, really, it hard not to. It made zombies what they are today. If you can make something in zombies, without some kind of help form Romero, you have all my condolences.
I fucking love this comic. I've read every one that came out.
Not as good as B.P.R.D of course. Hmmmm maybe I should make a thread about B.P.R.D

Ya'll gonna hate me for this, but I thought the Zombie Survival Guide was poorly written tripe that contradicted itself at every corner. Some of it was pretty interesting, but the most part I was unimpressed.
I can't remember though, were the zombies in the Survival Guide fast moving ones or the traditional shambling sort? Running zombies are much scarier.

Shambling.
I never really liked the Zombie Survival Guide, I wouldn't call it poorly written tripe, but it could've been so much better. World War Z, on the other hand, was great.
The walking dead is the fuckin shit, gotta get book five next.
Whoo, love those comics. I have most of them, but I read the rest on a site with the latest comic updated.
I am just waiting for a zombie crisis to happen bro.
I'm fucking ready.

This isn't a manga.

Ya, world war z was awesome... I just liked the Zombie Survival Guide Because I read it and thought, "Well, why couldn't that happen?". He made it seem like a realistic, scary possibility. Then I read World War Z and died in my chair.

This isn't manga. It's not going to make all the zombies friendly and cute looking. It isn't going to make the survivors look clean and tidy.
My dad reads these, I never got the chance to. Aren't they going to make a TV series out of this soon?

Yup they're making a TV series out of it. It's going to take a while for them to get out of that prison again though.
i probably won't read it unless you can buy it from the internet

My concern really is if it is written by japanese writers.

You're making a fool out of yourself jumping to conclusions. Tony Moore is American and what would it be different if he was Japanese? The series is still good.

What do you mean jumping to conclusions? It looks like fucking japanese anime! I don't like japanese literature, so get off my fucking back! I'm still not going to read it.
My concern really is if it is written by japanese writers.
Well the writer's name is Robert Kirkman, I think you can do the math on that one.
