Well moving too Denmark could help your problem, but we got multi-religius people around... But still the most annoying is Jehovas Witnesses, damn I hate those guys -.- But... well, we are a country of biologists and scientists :p

"When we say" "what are they" What are you even saying, you changed subject/person in the middle of the sentence?[/Qmy keyboard is not the best. it doesnt do what i want half the time so sorry about the spelling
I still don't have a damn clue what you're asking
We are not. This is a common misconception to evolution. We did not evolve from monkeys, we are a species on our own that has evolved throughout the years.
Our species had to evolve from something else
Look up Christianity, come back to me after you're familiar with it.
My entire family is christian (except for me and my mom), there's three churches in my town. Out of every christian person I know, and there's a lot, only 2 of them don't believe in evolution, and neither of them have a good reason why. Just because a person is christian doesn't mean they're a fucking idiot. To believe that is nothing but ignorance.
People don't seem to understand Evolution has and does continue to happen. The "Theory" of evolution is the current theory in explaining how and why evolution happens.
If evolution is real, how come there are monkeys and humans? :downs:
We were monkeys. Now we are tall skin-monkeys. Why do people have such a hard time understanding this?
This is incorrect, what you are talking about is abiogenisis(sic). This is a common misconception.
We are not. This is a common misconception to evolution. We did not evolve from monkeys, we are a species on our own that has evolved throughout the years.
We evolved along with the other great apes, not monkeys. Our most recent common ancestor was an ape, and we still belong to the hominidae family, which includes all of the great apes. (Monkeys are a different thing altogether than apes, and there are two types of monkeys to make that even more confusing.)

I still don't have a damn clue what you're asking
well sorry you are the only person saying you have a problem. I will get a new keyboard a week from now but until then i hope you get what i am saying.
I'm a Christian and I believe in evolution. God created the world in seven days? He didn't need that time, that's a metaphor, or a mistranslation. I hold more of a creation/evolution hybrid belief.
Look up Christianity, come back to me after you're familiar with it.
Most Christians don't interpret the entire bible literally now-a-days.
If evolution is real, how come there are monkeys and humans? :downs:
That's like saying "How are there Chimps and Apes?"
Our species had to evolve from something else
We are their ancestors but once something passes a certain point you can not say that they are truly related. We didn't evolve from monkeys or apes, otherwise they would not be around anymore. Here is a video of Dawkins explaining it; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS_rs06UjKI
Just because a person is christian doesn't mean they're a fucking idiot. To believe that is nothing but ignorance.
That is a horribly ignorant thing to say (irony?) Let them believe what they want to believe in, be it a man in the sky or several gods controlling everything, who are you to impose your views on them? No matter if they are correct or not. Again, you believe in a deity but don't follow the testament?
Most Christians don't interpret the entire bible literally now-a-days.
i say Christians have a culture lag of about 180 years. so as time moves forward they will as well just slower.
I love how people here claim to follow evolution or follow Christianity when in fact they don't even know what either one is. Educate yourself, people.
I love how people here claim to follow evolution or follow Christianity when in fact they don't even know what either one is. Educate yourself, people.
i would say i do, i want to become an evolutionary biologist.
What? You just completely disregarded what the argument was and went in a opposite direction. Unless you quoted the wrong person.
I backed the main argument with the last sentence. The first one was just to point out how ignorant you are calling Christian's not believing in evolution ignorant and dumb.

You can't just cherrypick the best bits of all beliefs and stick 'em together, that's just ridiculous because your putting your faith in two highly contradictory theories. And if you could, why didn't you stick the however-many-virgins-after-death bit from Islam in there too? [editline]07:50AM[/editline]
You're either not a native speaker of English or you're an idiot. Read my post again.
Yeah, do that. I have no idea where Herons is coming from.

Evolution is silly. Everybody knows the dinosaurs invented gods, who then revolted against them with a grand attack that wiped them out. But they created an incubation chamber hidden deep within the Earth for such an occasion. Once its timer hit zero, the incubator opened and released a creature born of the dinosaur's DNA. The first "human". We know him as Keanu Reeves. But he probably looked something like this. He then used the blueprints left behind by our reptilian ancestors to engineer another form of dinosaur, with an organic DNA replication device within it. Once his DNA (and that of the dinosaur's, as he is a reincarnation of sorts) was implanted into this organic machine, the incubation process began again at a much more accelerated rate. The machine was self-replicating, creating more "Keanus" and more of these replication machines. In order to avoid the detection of the gods created by the dinosaurs, Keanu used advanced dinosaur technology to allow him to transform into what we know as a "human shape". This affected all of the offspring of him and the breed machine, creating more "humans" with breed machines within them. And more Keanus. The gods are still unaware. But Keanu walks amongst us, and is haunted by all that he has witnessed in the past aeons. But the dinosaurs live on, as all of us. What the fuck did I just type.

He likes his faith but yet he knows alot of it is fake so he takes out the obviously fake parts. as time goes on people will take more and more out of there faith until it is gone.

He's probably Protestant. Protestant Christians believe through faith and not by works. If I have to repeat myself anymore I'm going to break my own damn kneecaps.
Evolution hasn't been proven, there's still missing links. That's why it's called the theory of evolution.
It's a Scientific theory.
If evolution is real, how come there are monkeys and humans? :downs:
I had a friend who asked me this, entirely seriously. Response? "My ancestors were Irish. If I'm here now, why are there still Irish people?" He was speechless

I freaking hate people who go around, talk about science and say "ohoho but it's just a theory". I mean how dumb to you have to be to have never heard of, or even looked up that hypothesis is what regular people use as theory.
You're either not a native speaker of English or you're an idiot. Read my post again.
I'll break it down for you.
How does being Christian mean you don't believe in evolution? Every christian person I know believes in evolution.
If you are Christian, you follow the bible. You believe in god and his creation of Earth. If you are Christian and support evolution, then god becomes a mere figure in the sky, a deity with no real purpose. Unless ofcourse you take the theistic evolution approach to things where god has created evolution, which is in itself ridiculous. I don't know how you can truly consider yourself to be Christian yet still support evolution.
My entire family is christian (except for me and my mom), there's three churches in my town. I personally think that people can believe in what they want to and I'm not one to stop them unless they are inflicting harm. Do you want me to make a flowchart? I think it'll help you comprehend everything a bit better.
