Heard on the radio Caine will play a professor. Not so sure that means hero or villain.
http://www.npr.org/2013/05/30/187296744/michael-caine-i-spent-my-life-doing-something-that-i-love Cool.
Yeah it's a really really brief fucking mention but I guess if anyone has read that leaked script it could add some plausibility to it. And yes I listen to NPR [editline]31st May 2013[/editline] Sorry that I was too lazy to post the source
What's wrong with NPR? It's a good station.
It would be funny if he would play the exact same character from Inception.
If the michael Caine shocker wasn't enough, here's some more captain obvious news: Hans Zimmer is now at work composing music for the film.
I don't have much faith in Nolan after the atrocious mess that was The Dark Knight Rises. But I could never say no to an ambitious, big budget sci-fi film. I'm glad he didn't end up making superhero movies forever.
 I thought the ending was superb. It was supposed to be a inception but knew what was happening.
 I thought the ending was superb. It was supposed to be a inception but knew what was happening.
It wasn't superb, it was forced and a bit predictable. Nonetheless it was a fantastic finale to a great trilogy. In cinema I sat still for good part of credits, because I was so amazed.
Bill Irwin just joined the cast.
I have literally no idea who that is
So, we have Buck from Monday Mornings. Not bad.
Casey Affleck, Ben Affleck's brother, has now also joined the film. He was the star of gone baby gone and the assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford. Furthermore, there's a neat article up about an interview with Kip Thorne, the guy that started this whole project fucking ages ago. It's mostly about who he is, and about his work, but they tried to get some details about the film from him at the end of it. All he would say is it's too soon for him to discuss it now. Still a pretty neat read: http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2013/jun/21/kip-thorne-time-travel-scientist-film

I recently saw "Mud" with McConaughey and he indeed is redeeming himself from romantic comedies nowadays. It's definitely a solid cast for now.
Still busy with casting, as Mackenzie Foy and Timothee Chalamet have also joined the film now. You probably all remember them from beyond that not much else going on except more location scouting in Iceland, and now also Alberta, Canada. Better than no news I guess [editline]15th July 2013[/editline] oh what more news broke as I was typing that. Oscar Winner Ellen Burstyn (Requiem for a Dream, The Exorcist) joins the film. That's cool.
blech child actors
John Lithgow has also joined the cast. It's starting to shape really nicely now.
what the fuck john lithgow?? that is so fucking awesome
Topher Grace has joined http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=106855 lol all i ever think of when I see Topher Grace was that awful venom.
apparently an early draft of the screenplay pre-nolan was put up somewhere on the internet i don't have the link anymore :(
Major casting is now done with Wes Bentley. idk apparently he was in hunger games http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=107000 and as a few angry people have been quick to point out, this means the entire cast is Caucasian. because apparently that matters oh nooo
mass confusion i thought he was superman THEY LOOK IDENTICAL
Filming starts August 6th in Alberta Canada.
I love that a few days after people bitching over the entire cast being white we suddenly get: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=107194 I'm guessing these are really small roles though since so many sites claimed major casting was finished with Wes Bentley.

more minor casting with Elyes Gabel (game of thrones, the young scientist at the start of world war z) idk if i should even bother posting these anymore since these are most likely such minor roles but whatever
There really isn't too much to discuss about the film apart from these minor cast announcements. Whatever, it's your thread.
If reports hold true we'll start having more to discuss in 2 days once shooting starts and set pictures start flooding the internet
Well if this film is mostly in space, then I doubt we will see set photos. Not many, at least.
I dunno. There's probably gonna be a ship or shuttle that took them up there.
The film is supposed to deal with alternate dimensions as well so they'll probably be back on earth a few times, assuming that part of the script hasn't been changed.
