Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" (2014) - Scifi film about time travel and worm holes - General

I really hope Hans Zimmer actually does something away from D Minor, not only for the sake of change, but so that this movie can have a rather odd aural landscape. E Minor would still be easy for strings to play, and if he's going to ditch the strings anyway, E Flat Minor would enhance the effect, being an odd sounding key. D Minor is getting really stale, Hans.

Article says its one of the only film IMAXes in the area. They probably wanted to test the trailer a bit before Godzilla. Nolan seems to like to test things (like with the TDK / TDKR prologues)

Nolan trailers usually debut on Mondays, but this movie's teaser broke that chain (not counting TDKR's weird full trailer release on a Thursday) by releasing on the Saturday following it's theatrical premiere. But when you consider this trailer is already playing in theaters I'd say they're not gonna wait that long and most likely shoot for Monday again. At least I hope so, that's the last chance I'll have to see it until mid June aaaaa

Saw the trailer before Godzilla, I was pretty intrigued, now I'm fucking [B]HYPED[/B] Basic trailer synopsis: [sp]Matthew is some kind of former scientist/astronaut I guess? He's living in his farm home, the Earth's gone to shit because food has run out basically, humanity is dying. Michael Caine approaches him and invites him to a drastic program to save humanity's future. He's assigned as a pilot to a spaceship, the only one of its kind with what is presumably an Alcubierre drive, which will leave Earth for good to secure humanity's future. Even if it means sacrificing everyone's lives, including his family for the future of mankind.[/sp]

So someone leaked the script half a year ago. Apparently it was the 2008 draft and should be different now, but there are some things in the trailer that match the leaked script. I don't have it saved so I can't post it, but if it keeps a lot of the stuff from the old script, I'm not gonna be happy. Plot twist galore, as per usual with Nolan films.

You just need to Google search "Interstellar leaked script" But yeah the amount of plot twists and the lack of physics / science bothered me (I thought they got Steven Hawking's "rival" to help write this...)

I'm getting a nice 2001 vibe from this movie. Can't wait.
