My physics teacher tried making a plasma thrower with a bunch of disposable camera capacitors, some wires, and two bits of metal with some tin foil in between them. Basically the electricity heats up the tin foil to a plasma state, and then flings it due to how "excited" the molecules are.
He's one the coolest fucking people I know. That and our AP Bio teacher is also full of cool stories.
My science teacher made a cheesy joke once.
He said "Whats this?" and tensed his body, put his arms by his side and feet touching eachother
"The fetal position for a test tube baby"
9/10 would lol again
My old science teacher fell off a cliff, climbed back up it all bloody and broken face bones. Then walked all the way back to a gas station by him self all covered with blood then went to the hospital.
My bio. teacher is like that, and my past 2 science teachers have been like that too. I guess people that field can sense others that are aspiring to join it.
Wow.
I'm sorry. :frog:
He even worked for Games Workshop apparently :byodood:
I had a Chemistry teacher in high school who was an American who had recently come to Australia. In one of the first lessons he put raw sodium in a beaker of water, let it burn and run around for a bit, then put his unprotected face over it just as it exploded. He wasn't badly burnt, just a fair bit of irritation, but it was kinda funny.
Nobody came to tutoring sessions held by teachers, so all that was left was having the smarter students become the tutors.
I did have an awesome chemistry teacher though, he works for the Drug Enforcement Agency now if I'm correct.
This story made me smile, I'm glad you're having it great OP.
What a nice teacher.
:3:
What an awesome teacher, shame we don't have any like that at my school :saddowns:
I wish I could relate, OP, but my science teacher got fired for having porn on his computer. :smith:
My RE teacher was cool, he usually made everyone turn off music in class and let me and my friends keep ours on since he LOVED rock, and happened to be in an IT room every lesson.
If only more teachers were like this. People would actually go to school and, better yet, learn something.
If only less kids treated their teachers like shit, we probably would have more teachers like this.
If only less kids treated their teachers like shit, we probably would have more teachers like this.
This. We have a teacher who most kids think is quite shitty, but in fact she is one of the best teachers we have, it's just that some kids don't like her and they start telling other kids lies about the teacher and they won't like her and do the same thing and so on.
If only less kids treated their teachers like shit, we probably would have more teachers like this.
My physics teacher would fly off the handle when people were being retarded.
He was awesome, for a solid half an hour he ripped on someone constantly until they broke down in tears, no one fucked with him after that.
Mr. Gibbons you are a king amongst men :scotland:
my computer teacher helped me 100 percent the fallout series :3:

There needs to be a mutual respect, especially when it comes to high school teachers.
What a nice guy, OP. Glad you got to see him again and show him how well you're doing.
I'm genuinely happy for you, teachers can be awesome :)
My sceience teacher was a pretty damn cool guy
When i saw thread's tittle i tought some one cool have died.
My English teacher was the coolest teacher I've ever had. Talked to him about films and music (particularly The Beatles) all the time, and he's awesome at playing guitar.
One of my old science teachers was batshit insane and everyone was scared for their lives around her. One day she rode a unicycle during class as a way to make everyone like her again.
I read "My science teacher was pretty far from being a cool guy". Do I have troubles ?

Is the story fake ? It's so shitty it could be real. Then it would be a good story.
Gave my goosebumps
some one cool have died.
Also 500th post :woop:
Thank you for sharing this Event in your life.It has been very interesting reading material.I'd be proud of a teacher like that.
Physics teachers seem to be awesome. I guess it takes a pretty cool person to teach such an abstract subject. Mine was great :buddy:
My science teacher is a bit like that. He gives the pupils that want to do well help with doing well, his attitude is pretty much "if you make the effort so will I." and before I turned my eyes towards Cyber Security, I was thinking how lucky I was to have a teacher like him in the field I was interested in.
Shame all teachers can't be like this. Failing at IT is not a good idea for someone who wants a job in it. :(
that is so romantic :D
This is what my old English teacher was like. She was a sweet old lady that taught me so much, she inspired me to be a writer. She retired a year or two ago, people treated her so badly because she actually pushed people to do better when they just wanted to be lazy. :<
