• What happens when you reverse GTA4's wheel traction values?

Hah, I've messed with this setting before. I was about to go into my car, then when I touched it, it flew into the sky, hit a building, and returned to kill me.
What about friction? Can you do that?
I cried This is fucking awesome
1:04-1:08 was pretty badass.
Haha that was a good laugh. Love euphoria physics. Hurry up and make the next vid.
There was a video just like this that was posted months ago. Does anyone have it?
The console versions need mod support.(though, with the PS3 being hacked now, I don't doubt it being possible at some point) I can't run it on my computer. Still absolutely love GTAIV and it's episodes, if not just for fucking around with the physics.
This is 100% pure win! Holy shit that looks epic and intense. "I'm just going to go outside and HOLYSHITOMGWTFBBQ!!!"
I like how the cars magically fly straight at you! This is so funny!
Tutorial please
Holy shit, I just found my old GTA modding videos. Although they are in low quality they are hilarious enough to mix up a video. I'll start when I get home (which is in 6 hours). [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] Lovin' the flyin'.
I hope you can do this in Freemode on MP, I love the Evil Cars cheat in Saint's Row 2.
I tinkered with the handling.dat and changing the Wbias traction to a negative number makes them act somewhat like this. Did you do that or something similar?
I don't understand. What did you actually do?
Those were some pretty sweet dodges on the bike, but were bikes not affected by the negative friction or something? They seemed to run pretty normal
Talk about close call at 1:13.
nevermind, screwed up
Seriously I'd love to try to do this myself and even make some vids of it, only if I knew HOw to do this. So may I humbly request a tutorial?
Those were some pretty sweet dodges on the bike, but were bikes not affected by the negative friction or something? They seemed to run pretty normal
Every vehicle has it's own friction values. I could make taxi's not affected by this if I wanted, etc. I wonder what will happen if I do it to boats.. :ohdear:
Just cruising on the motorcycle with people screaming and cars flying everywhere kinda reminded me of the hotel fight in Inception...
How does one change the traction values for the wheels?
There is some config file which has all the information about the cars and vehicles There's a lot of different type of values and it's easy to fuck up. You can download a modding tool too which does the hard work for you, it's pretty easy that way. Also downloaded some realism pack, the cars take 50% more deformation on car crashes it's pretty awesome. modded the ambulance separately for the pack into a wrecking machine, deformation 0.1 so it gets deformed SLOWLY (like scratches), goes a lot faster and weights a hell of a lot more so you can ram through any busy traffic with full force, it's pretty violent and awesome  all cars take lesser damage from bullets too so it makes car chases all the more fun Also makes the singleplayer really cool and realistic, one strong impact and your car is wrecked. you can go through cop road stops full speed ahead and your car can manage that, it's basically the cop cars that take more damage in that.
1:09 - 1:14 Holy shit.
We need a GIF of that.
And this is why I love the PC version
We need a GIF of that.
cheap online tools, ignore watermark I really need to learn this modding stuff, looks fun as heck
Awesome .gif
Reminds me of Evil Cars cheat in Saints Row 2
I'm editing the new one into the OP in a minute!
The video makes me wish this laptop could run GTA IV.
It's up. Go go go.
Oh god when you landed on another bike
