Wow, those Alton Towers rollercoasters are really short and don't even remotely go fast...
you forgot to add my penis, 99 % of hot chicks say it was the best ride ever
If I ever go to America I wanna go on Top Thrill Dragster Or Kingdaka would be sweet too.
I don't like the feeling of feeling sick to my stomach, so I don't ride roller coasters. However, I'm jealous that I hold myself back on the wonderful flying feeling. Cheetah Chase at Busch Gardens is a decent alternative :P
If anyone comes to Pittsburgh, go to Kennywood and ride the SkyRocket. It's a new ride this year and I went on it.
Sky Rocket is a steel roller coaster located in Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is the first coaster since the reconditioning of the Steel Phantom into the Phantom's Revenge in 2001, and the first coaster since that event to feature inversions. It was completed in the late spring of 2010 and after a period of testing opened at the end of June. After exiting the station, the train lines up with the launch motors and is powered to 50 mph (80 km/h) in just three seconds. Prior to a 90 degree ascent of 95 feet, the train pauses as the riders look straight down. The coaster plummets 90 degrees and moves into a "cutback" inversion, which is two corkscrews joined together so that the train exits moving 180 degrees from the direction it entered. Other inversions include a barrel roll and a traditional corkscrew. There is also a "zero gravity hill." As the coaster bleeds off speed, it goes through a series of slight curves banked back and forth, and then finally a set of bunny hops before returning to the station.
Here's its layout. Here's a video of it. It's pretty damn fun even though I was scared as fuck to ride it.

Cedar Point is indisputably the best. Won "Best Amusement Park in the World" from Amusement Today 12 times in a row, friggin held tallest coaster at least 10 times before, and had the fastest and tallest, which I'm not even sure has been surpassed yet. Also, won awards for most rollercoasters. Picture hardly does the park justice

Last month I went to Valley Fair in Shakopee Minnisota. Not the greatest roller-coasters but they're still fun. One of the really good steel rides is the Wild Thing Then there's an amazing wooden roller-coaster called the "Renegade" which is fucking amazing because you just get thrown around like hell. The blue roller-coaster there is called the "corkscrew". It's really short but you go upside down maybe 5 times. I really want to go to six flags D: Well shit I just saw that unnecessary posted these already.
I want to see a real life version of this
Not really a roller coaster, but kind of related.
:smithicide:
I WOULD OF LOVED THAT GAH :kratos:
I basically rode every ride in Six Flags Jackson. My favorite ride is El Toro and Nitro. (sorry about bad pics) Love the 76 degree drop. The G forces are so strong at the drop, that raising your hands is a challenge. Makes each drop thrilling and awesome. Especially with these seats
Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland (Toronto, Ontario) is pretty awesome.

Are we forgetting the 4th dimension?
X² (formerly known as X) is a steel roller coaster operating at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. It is the world's first 4th Dimension roller coaster and was the final roller coaster conceived and installed by ride manufacturer Arrow Dynamics. The ride is unique in that the trains' seats pitch 360 degrees forwards and in reverse independent of the main chassis. The coaster initially opened to the public on January 12, 2002; numerous malfunctions delayed it from debuting in 2001 as was originally anticipated. On December 2, 2007, the ride closed for its transformation into X². It was completely repainted, received new third generation vehicles, and featured new special effects including a pair of flame throwers. The ride reopened on May 24, 2008 following the upgrades. The ride's moniker is pronounced X-two by the amusement park, however, the intended name is X-squared, or Xtreme to the Second Power. The ride, along with Tatsu, are considered to be Six Flags Magic Mountain's signature coasters. The ride is one of the most popular in the park, with wait times normally exceeding two hours.
I rode that and the dragster when I went there a couple years ago.
I posted one of these in fast threads awhile ago, like in march... But Montu at Busch Gardens is epic win.

Never again. Anyways, the Bizarro is pretty cool.
Wooden coasters are the best.
Fuck you fuckers who disagreed. There is nothing better than a wooden coaster. [editline]11:22PM[/editline] I went to six flags new york over the summer, and went on the comet. Fucking 3 times. Front row twice. It was amazing. Fucking park sucked overall though.
Are we forgetting the 4th dimension?
Oh. My. Balls. I need to ride this before I die.
I'm a proper coaster geek - enthusiast an all. I know shit about coasters that'll spleen-sting your mother. I suppose this would be an appropriate place for me to make my first post. Somewhat limited by the fact I only just recently got a passport, I have been stuck riding UK coasters since my appetite for them started around 3 years ago. Needless to say, I know a lot of shit and can tell you about almost everything you need to know about coasters, from the sound a B&M makes to where kickers are needed on brake runs. With my limited run of coasters available, I stand by saying that my favourite coaster is Nemesis at Alton Towers, UK. having been on this almost 100 times in 3 years, I can safely say this baby kicks ass. It is my favourite of the 72 individual roller coasters I have so far had the joy to ride, and will probably remain in my top 10 long after I pass my goal of reaching 300 coasters. Needless to say, this is just the start of the ramblings I will make in this topic. Be warned - inconsistencies with statists in this thread will not be tolerated :P

Goliath at Six Flags Laronde (In Montreal, QC, Canada):
Holy shit! Michael Cera what are you doing here!?
Cera is my man-crush. I'll pop a list of 10 coasters that are on my "OMFG! I'VE GOTTA DO! list: 1) Maverick, Cedar Point, USA 2) Expedition GeForce, Holiday Park, GER 3) Boulder Dash, Lake Compounce, USA 4) Black Mamba, Phantasialand, GER 5) T Express, Everland, SK 6) Bizzaro, SFNE, USA 7) Dragon Khan, Port Aventura, SPA 8) Manta, Seaworld Orlando, USA 9) Intimidator 305, Kings Dominion, USA 10) Katun, Mirabalandia, ITA GeForce I want to go on as I hear such mixed reviews, Boulder Dash just looks immense, Intimidator is only on my list to experience the epic Intamin whip you get from the sharp, sudden banking. The others stand out as must-rides for many enthusiasts.

The only coaster I've been on is the only decent one in the state of Arizona. Desert Storm It's not remarkable for anything, but it does have two inversions (2 loops).
This isn't really a roller coaster, but it's always in Six Flags parks. It's basically a hollow cylindrical tube, it's upright, and spins fairly fast. It's basically a human sized centrifuge. There's no seatbelts / specific positions you're supposed to stay in, in the magic mountain one, so you can climb up like 3 feet up the wall, with the only thing keeping you stuck to the wall is the centrifugal force. Anyone know what I'm talking about/what it's name is? Here's a picture of one [editline]01:02AM[/editline] Did a bit of research, ends up the one in magic mountain was demolished in '08 because some little kid climbed all the way up to the top and his head got flung out due to the force and hit a pipe. Fuckin ruined it for everyone :/
