They're called Gravitron rides. They are relatively safe except for stupid silly people who try and defy the forces of nature.
I love rollercoasters but I don't really go to amusement parks often. I'd have to say my favourite is The Incredible Hulk at Universal Studios, it was absolutely incredible.

Is 13 for Alton Towers out yet?
I go to Alton Towers on halloween alot, hope it's open by then. The wait will be fucking huge however.
I was in alton towers only a few weeks ago, needless to say i went on absoloutely everything, i have been on everything in port aventura[spain including tower etc.] but that's about it.
Also Oblivion is one badass coaster, aswell as nemesis, the big monster thingy looks fucking cool!

Oh yeah disney land sucked balls apart from aerosmith aswell
The problem with going to theme parks is that each decent trip will cost about £50. Because I live a little way away from the nearest theme park, I have to pay for the train there, the bus from the train station and the ticket. Usually this is under £50, but regarding you've spent all that money already, you want to maximize your experience by paying for food and anything else.

Oh yeah, I'm going to thorpe park on monday, and it should be quite empty. I'll hopefully go on every big ride for facepunch. :buddy:

The Scare Fest will probably be open this year.
I know since I'm going with my school.

Don't count on it! Many don't go back until the Tuesday, so the park will still have a fair few punters there. I know loads of people who work there - they've said the park will either be dead or heaving.

It's been open since March. Needless to say, a huge disappointment from an enthusiast perspective, especially as I was there on the last day of Corkscrew's operation and was on one of the final trains.
Gotta love roller coasters :v:
Rita hurt my head.

Been in this baby. Highest in Europe, last time I checked. Loved every single bit of it.
[editline]10:11PM[/editline]
Though that Ferris wheel in the background is scarier. Holy crap those things go high. Also, someone threw candy on my head...
Fuckin' Kingda Ka, man. I still remember the adrenaline rush I had when getting plunging forward and upward like that. Shit was so cash.
It sucks that out of all my friends, I'm the only one that actually likes rollercoasters. Everyone I know is terrified of them, whenever I go to an amusement park with them, I usually ride on most of the rides by myself.
I like rollercoasters, shame there's only a few in Finland.
My favourite is probably Tornado:
Air, my favourite, is an entirely different ride depending on where you sit. At the back (where I imagine Ragawaga sat) the ride is violent and rough (I've found this true of almost all roller coasters I've been on however) but at the front. It really is another experience altogether. The turns and swoops are smooth and natural. Possibly the closest you'll get to flying wingless. Ever since all my dreams of flying have used the sensation from the front of Air to imitate the feeling.

Haha, yeah i sat at the back in the middle :/
I want to ride rita so bad man !
[editline]10:40PM[/editline]
i laso really want to ride SAW, The hulk and Harry potter
I rode Dragon Khan, the biggest rollerscoaster in Europe, 8 loops, 104km/h maxspeed. It's located in Port Aventura, Spain. Man that ride was fucking awesome.

Rollercoasters are scary as fuck. The big ones are, anyway.
2 biggest for me were the Expedition GeForce and The Goliath. Very fun indeed.

Yeah, but I expect it will be emptier than before. Also, most schools go back that day as well. But if its busy its busy, and queues aren't too bad with friends and internet capable phones. If I'm in a queue, I'll be on this thread. But thanks for the friendly advice. :buddy:
When you read this thread it's more fun if you put your hands in the air.

that is a sweet train
Intimidator 305 has a first drop of 300 feet (91 m), with a maximum descent angle of 85 degrees and reaching speeds of 79.5 miles per hour.
I road this at kings dominion VA. Honestly, I preferred the Anaconda and the Flight of Fear. This thing was just go up really high then go down really fast and have your ears pop. At least the Flight of Fear and Anaconda have loops and shit.

I was wondering where that thing went last time I went to Six Flags. :saddowns:
Speaking of Six Flags, another fun coaster they've got is Batman: The Ride

It's a lot of fun, but intense as fuck. I blacked out for a second or two both times I've gone on it.
this thread reminds me of roller coaster tycoon 3
i remember making an insane coaster called the necksnapper
it had a 300 mph chain lift, went 2km up in the air, then did a sharp turn at well over the speed of sound
20 lateral gs
I'm afraid of coasters. I'm more of a water park guy.

When that ride ends, you're taxied a little before getting off and if you look down there is like piles of people shoes/sandals and heaps of vomit.
